Colin Brooks (drummer)
Colin Brooks is a drummer from Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. He has played for numerous bands including Ho-hum, Trusty (band), Trusty, The Big Cats, and Samiam. Brooks also played drums on the Dan Zanes and Friends album ''Catch That Train!'', which won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Musical Album for Children. He would go on to play drums live for Zanes. Brooks returns to Little Rock frequently to play with his rock band, The Big Cats, with his old friends Burt Taggart, Jason White (musician), Jason White and Josh Bentley. Brooks co-wrote the song "2nd Street" for White's band Pinhead Gunpowder, which appeared on the album ''Compulsive Disclosure''. Brooks joined the Canadian indie rock band The Stills before their 2006 album, ''Without Feathers (album), Without Feathers''. He is currently the drummer for Samiam. ''Without Feathers'' is the second album by Montreal indie rock band the Stills. It was released May 9, 2006 by Vice Records. The album was produced by Gus Van Go. Emily Haines from fellow indie band Metric appeared on "Baby Blues," while Jason Collett of Broken Social Scene and Sam Roberts were featured on the track "Oh Shoplifter". The album debuted at No. 6 on the Top Heatseekers chart, but failed to hit the ''Billboard'' 200. In Canada, the album did not fare well on the charts. It premiered at No. 51 before moving out of the Top 100 the following week. The album was later released in the UK in 2007 by Drowned in Sound Recordings, including two new tracks. The Stills
The Stills were a Canadian rock band from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 2000 and disbanded in 2011. History The band's original lineup consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Tim Fletcher, guitarist Gregory Paquet, bassist Olivier Corbeil and drummer Dave Hamelin.
