Colebrooke Island
Colebrooke Island is an island of the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the North and Middle Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The island lies north from Port Blair. It is named after Robert Hyde Colebrooke who surveyed the region along with Archibald Blair. Geography The island belongs to the East Baratang Group and lies east of Baratang. The Bay of Bengal is the northeastern part of the Indian Ocean, bounded on the west and northwest by India, on the north by Bangladesh, and on the east by Myanmar and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India.
