Cold World (EP)
''Cold World'' is the third EP by industrial metal band Godflesh, released in late 1991 through Relativity Records. It was recorded and mixed during September 1991 as part of the ''Pure'' (1992) sessions. The original EP was discontinued, but, in 1996, it was reissued along with the " Slateman" single on one disc through Earache as the compilation ''Slateman/Cold World''. Later, in August 2009, this was reissued as part of a triple-CD package which also included the EP ''Slavestate'' (1991) and the band's second album, ''Pure''. Critical reception ''Cold World'' received lukewarm reviews. Writing for AllMusic, Ned Raggett considered the EP a largely unremarkable continuation of the band's previous EP, ''Slavestate''. He said the EP's title track would have benefited from being included on ''Pure''. Naomi Shelton & the Gospel Queens are an American gospel and soul music group led by front woman Naomi Shelton. The group was formed in 1999. Two founding members were from Brooklyn, New York. They have released two albums with Daptone Records, ''What Have You Done, My Brother?'' (2009) and ''Cold World'' (2014). Both albums charted on the ''Billboard'' magazine charts, where they placed on the Gospel Albums chart. Background The group was founded in Brooklyn during 1999 by Naomi Shelton and Cliff Driver. They were going to release an album in the mid-2000s, however the label they signed with folded. The group got a recording contract with Daptone Records in the late-2000s. ''Cold World'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Of Mice & Men. It was released on September 9, 2016, through Rise Records. The album was produced by David Bendeth and is the follow-up to the group's third studio album, ''Restoring Force'' (2014). The lead single, "Pain", was released on June 27, 2016. Another single, "Real", was released on August 4, and then another new song, "Contagious", on August 29. The album was released early exclusively on Apple Music on September 2, 2016. It received mixed reviews from critics. The album reached number 20 in the US, selling 19,000 copies in its first week.
