Cold Storage Commission
The Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) is a government ministry responsible for agriculture in Zimbabwe, including the management of agricultural land use, but not land reform. Dr Anxious Jongwe Masuka is the incumbent Minister of Lands, Agriculture and Rural Resettlement, having been appointed on 14 August 2020. Currently, the deputy ministers are Douglas Karoro and Vangelis Haritatos. The ministry is located in Harare. Politics Of Zimbabwe
The politics of Zimbabwe takes place in a framework of a full presidential republic, whereby the President is the head of state and government as organized by the 2013 Constitution. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and parliament. The status of Zimbabwean politics has been thrown into question by a 2017 coup. Denis Norman
Denis R. Norman (March 26, 1931 – December 20, 2019) was a British-Zimbabwean politician who spent a total of twelve years in the Cabinet of Robert Mugabe. He was known as "Nothing Wrong Norman" due to his penchant for trying to put a positive spin on difficult situations. From 2003 he lived in Oxfordshire, England, before his death on 20 December 2019. Career Norman headed the Commercial Farmers' Union when Robert Mugabe came to power in 1980. Norman was appointed Minister of Agriculture that same year, and held the position from 1980 to 1985. Mugabe asked Norman to leave the government after the 1985 elections which resulted in Ian Smith's faction winning most of the (minority-designated) white roll seats. Seiso Moyo (3 September 1956 – 21 December 2012) was a Zimbabwean politician, who served as deputy minister of agriculture from 11 October 2011 to 21 December 2012. Early life and education Moyo was born on 3 September 1956. He was a graduate of the Mzilikazi Secondary School. Career Moyo began his career as a social worker. Later he dealt with business leadership, non-governmental organisation management and rehabilitation management in several universities. In the 1970s he involved in politics and became district secretary for the Zapu youth in Thabalala. Jock Kay
John Maurice "Jock" Kay ( – d) was a Zimbabwean farmer and politician. A member of the House of Assembly of Zimbabwe from 1983 to 1990, he served as the Deputy Minister of Lands, Agriculture and Rural Resettlement from 1988 to 1990. He entered Parliament as an independent, before joining the ruling ZANU–PF party in 1987. Biography Kay was born in Manicaland . In 1948, he purchased 5,000 acres of virgin land in Wedza District, near Marandellas (now Marondera), Southern Rhodesia. He named it Chipesa Farm, and grew maize and tobacco. It supported hundreds of workers and their families. As a farmer, Kay was known as a pioneer of cooperative irrigation techniques. Simba is a fictional character and the protagonist of Disney's ''The Lion King'' franchise. Introduced in the 1994 film ''The Lion King'', Walt Disney Animation's 32nd animated feature, the character subsequently appears in '' The Lion King II: Simba's Pride'' (1998) and ''The Lion King 1½'' (2004) as well as the 2019 remake of the original film. Rugare Eleck Ngidi Gumbo (born 8 March 1940) is a Zimbabwean politician. He is a former Minister of Economic Development in the Zimbabwean government. Early background He grew up in colonial in Belingwe district (renamed Mberengwa after independence) district of Rhodesia on 8 March 1940, and was educated at a government secondary school. From his early teens he was involved in nationalist politics, and at the age of 22 was a branch chairman of the Fort Victoria (now Masvingo) ZAPU party under Joshua Nkomo. Joseph Mtakwese Made was a Zimbabwean politician who served as Minister of Agriculture. Political career He was the Minister of Agriculture before being moved to the position of Minister of Agriculture Mechanization, with Rugare Gumbo replacing him as Minister of Agriculture.
