Gary David Cohn (born August 27, 1960) is an American business leader who served as the 11th Director of the National Economic Council and chief economic advisor to President Donald Trump from 2017 to 2018. He managed the administration's economic policy agenda. Before serving in the White House, Cohn was president and COO of Goldman Sachs, where he worked for more than 25 years. Cohn was appointed vice-chairman of IBM on January 5, 2021. Art Cohn
Art Cohn (April 5, 1909 – March 22, 1958) was an American sportswriter, screenwriter and author. Cohn and Hollywood producer Mike Todd died in a plane crash in New Mexico in 1958. Career Sportswriter Cohn was born in New York City. Early in his career he wrote for the ''Long Beach Press-Telegram''. From 1936 to 1943, he was a sportswriter and sports editor for the ''Oakland Tribune'', which published his sports column ''Cohn-ing Tower'' (wordplay on "conning tower"). He worked as a press correspondent during World War II. In January 1958, after being away from newspaper work for 14 years, Cohn joined ''The San Francisco Examiner''; in his first column there, he wrote, "Things seem to happen where I happen to be." Cohn was a controversial opinion writer of the time; he "afflicted the sports world with hard questions about racial equality long before the civil rights movement."

Edwin Joseph Cohn (December 17, 1892 – October 1, 1953) was a protein scientist. A graduate of Phillips Academy, Andover 911 and the University of Chicago 914, PhD 1917 he made important advances in the physical chemistry of proteins, and was responsible for the blood fractionation project that saved thousands of lives in World War II. Liver juice fractionation and concentration for treatment of pernicious anemia In 1928, as group leader at Harvard Medical School, Cohn was able to concentrate, by a factor of 50 to 100 times, the vital factor in raw liver juice which had been shown by Minot and Murphy to be the only known specific treatment for pernicious anemia. Leonie Cohn
Leonie Clara Cohn (1917-2009, married name Findlay) was a BBC radio producer. Early life and education Cohn was born on 22 June 1917 in Königsberg to a Jewish family. In 1935, she moved to Italy to study at the University of Rome. Both of her parents were murdered in the Holocaust. After finishing school, she moved to the United Kingdom to live with art critic Herbert Read and his family. Career During World War II, she worked as a translator for BBC's German Service. She married Paul Findlay (who eventually became the head of BBC TV administration) and had two children, Mark and Andrea. She retired in 1977 after 36 years with BBC. After taking violin and piano lessons in his native town, he studied composition with Roy Harris, Wayne Barlow and Bernard Wagenaar, and majored in Composition at Juilliard, graduating in 1950. He wrote solo, chamber, choral and orchestral works, among them 3 string quartets, 5 piano sonatas and 8 symphonies. Harvey Wright Cohn (December 4, 1884 – July 29, 1965) was an American track and field athlete and a member of the Irish American Athletic Club. A native of New York City, Cohn competed in the 1904 Summer Olympics, the 1906 Intercalated Games in Athens and 1908 Summer Olympics in London. An announcement in the August 6, 1904 issue of ''The New York Times'' indicated that the Metropolitan Association of the Amateur Athletic Union would hold a "special five-mile race" at Celtic Park on August 13, 1904 with the eight top finishers receiving a paid trip to compete in the marathon at the Olympic Games in St. Louis on August 30, 1904. Harry Cohn (July 23, 1891 – February 27, 1958) was a co-founder, president, and production director of Columbia Pictures Corporation. Life and career Cohn was born to a working-class Jewish family in New York City. Gustav Cohn (12 December 1840 in Marienwerder, West Prussia – 17 September 1919) was a German economist, noted for his pioneering contributions to the theory and policy of transportation and public finance. He was educated at Berlin and Jena universities. Gretta Cohn is a cellist who is best known for playing cello in the rock group Cursive from 2001-2005. She left the group in August 2005. Her departure was announced on the Cursive website in late August: Cursive regrets to announce the departure of cellist Gretta Cohn. Gary Cohn (born January 25, 1952) is an American comic book writer, and co-creator (with Dan Mishkin) of the DC Comics characters Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld and Blue Devil. Early life Gary Cohn attended Michigan State University earning his bachelor's degree in creative writing (liberal arts) and graduated from Bowling Green State University with an M.A. in 1980.
