Cody Vasut
Cody Thane Vasut (born August 13, 1987) is an American politician. He has represented the 25th District in the Texas House of Representatives since 2021. A member of the Republican Party, Vasut also works as an attorney. Early life, education, and career Born in Houston to John and Pella Vasut. Vasut grew up in Brazoria County, Texas, where he then graduated from Angleton High School. He then went on to attend Texas A&M University, where he received a BBA and a MS in Management. During college at Texas A&M, he became the 37th speaker of the student senate. Vasut later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 2012. From 2012 to 2020, he worked as an associate attorney for BakerHostetler in Houston, along with being a council member for the city of Angleton. Angleton High School
Angleton High School is a public high school located just outside the city of Angleton, Texas, United States in unincorporated Brazoria County. It is classified as a 5A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). It is a part of the Angleton Independent School District located in south central Brazoria County. In 2015, the school was rated " Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency. Several previous school locations were destroyed by hurricanes. The high school was once located in what is now Central Elementary, as well as the former Angleton Intermediate School. The recently built high school is located at 1 Campus Dr. on the outskirts of Angleton. The varsity football stadium and baseball field is located next to Angleton High School. Dennis Higgins Bonnen (born March 3, 1972) is an American businessman and politician. Bonnen served as Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives from 2019 to 2021. A Republican, Bonnen represented District 25 of the Texas House from 1997 to 2021. In 2013, then-Speaker Joe Straus appointed Bonnen as Speaker Pro Tempore, presiding over the House in the Speaker's absence. In January 2019, Bonnen was elected Speaker. Greg Abbott
Gregory Wayne Abbott (born November 13, 1957) is an American politician, attorney, and former jurist serving as the 48th governor of Texas since 2015. A member of the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party, he served as the 50th Texas Attorney General, attorney general of Texas from 2002 to 2015 and as a member of the Texas Supreme Court from 1996 to 2001.
