Coast Rider is a steel wild mouse roller coaster at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. History Coast Rider operates on the former site of Perilous Plunge. Perilous Plunge closed on September 3, 2012. Cedar Fair Entertainment Company filed a trademark for ''Coast Rider'' on October 22, 2012. Knott's Berry Farm officially announced Coast Rider and two other rides on November 1, 2012. The ride opened up along with the rest of the brand new boardwalk on May 25, 2013. Ride experience The 52 foot ascent to the top of Coast Rider will have everyone clinging to the handrails for the ultimate family coaster experience. Perilous Plunge
Perilous Plunge was a shoot-the-Chutes style attraction located at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. The ride opened on September 15, 2000, and closed on September 3, 2012. History On August 12, 1999, Knott's Berry Farm announced that they would be adding Perilous Plunge. It would be the world's tallest water ride, surpassing Tidal Force at Hersheypark. The ride would be located in the Boardwalk section. Construction of Perilous Plunge began in November 1999 when a construction wall was erected from Hammerhead to Coasters Diner and the entrance to Boomerang. During the construction progress, the walkway was moved closer to the coaster. Perilous Plunge would also replace the HeadAche ride. Perilous Plunge was originally planned to open in July 2000, but the opening was delayed due to technical issues. A wild mouse is a type of roller coaster consisting of single or spinning cars traversing a tight-winding track with an emphasis on sharp, unbanked turns. The upper portion of the track usually features multiple 180-degree turns, known as flat turns, that produce high lateral G-forces even at modest speeds. Cars are often designed to be wider than the track to enhance the illusion of hanging over the edge. Lower portions of the track typically feature small hills and bunny hops. Wild mouse coasters first appeared in the 1950s, and following a period of decline in the 1980s, new innovations and layout designs in the late 1990s led to a resurgence in demand. Lego Technic Test Track, Technic Coaster, Project X - Test Strecke and X-treme Racers are the names of five identical steel wild mouse roller coasters (three of which are still operating) manufactured by Mack Rides at Legoland theme parks around the world. History The first installation opened at Legoland California in 2001 as Technic Coaster. This was followed by Legoland Deutschland's Project X - Test Strecke and Legoland Billund's X-treme Racers in 2002. On March 20, 2004, ''Jungle Coaster'' opened at Legoland Windsor in the ''Adventure Land'' section of the park. The ride however closed in 2009 in preparation of its relocation to Legoland Florida. Legoland (, trademark in uppercase as LEGOLAND) is a chain of family theme parks focusing on the construction toy system Lego. Fast Lane (Cedar Fair)
Fast Lane is an optional, pay-per-person line queue system offered on select rides at Cedar Fair amusement parks. The system provides shorter lines, and guests who want access must pay a fee in addition to general park admission. They are given a wristband for identification, and an unspecified, limited number are sold each day to control wait times. First piloted in 2011 at Kings Island, the system was rolled out to the rest of the Cedar Fair chain in 2012. An upgrade called Fast Lane Plus featuring additional rides is available at some parks.
