Clément Castets
Clément Castets (born 5 May 1996) is a French professional rugby union player who plays as a prop for Top 14 club Stade Français. Club career On 26 August 2017, Clément Castets played his first game for Toulouse. Next seasons, he won the 2018–19 Top 14 and the 2020–21 Top 14 as well as the 2020–21 Champions Cup. On 10 May 2021, he chose to leave his first professional club and signed with Stade Français. He joined the French capital side at the end of the 2020–21 Top 14 season. International career On 17 October 2022, Castets was first called by Fabien Galthié to the France national team for the Autumn internationals. The European Rugby Champions Cup (known as the Heineken Champions Cup for sponsorship reasons) is an annual rugby union tournament organised by European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR). It is the top-tier competition for clubs who compete in a predominantly European league. Clubs qualify for the Champions Cup via their final positions in their respective national/regional leagues (English Premiership, French Top 14, and United Rugby Championship) or via winning the second-tier Challenge Cup; those that do not qualify are instead eligible to compete in the second-tier Challenge Cup. Between 1995 and 2014, the equivalent competition was known as the Heineken Cup and was run by European Rugby Cup. The France national rugby union team () represents France in men's international rugby union and it is administered by the French Rugby Federation. They traditionally play in blue shirts emblazoned with the national emblem of a golden rooster on a red shield, with white shorts and red socks; thus they are commonly referred to as or . Fabien Galthié
Fabien Galthié (; born 20 March 1969) is a French rugby union coach and former player, he is currently the head coach of the French national team. His usual position was at scrum-half. He played much of his club rugby for Colomiers, and later on in his career, Stade Français. Galthié won 64 caps for France, including four Rugby World Cup appearances, as well as captaining the side at the 2003 World Cup. Former France national coach Bernard Laporte has described him as the greatest scrum-half in French history. He was the IRB International Player of the Year in 2002. After retiring as a player, Galthie took up coaching, and spent several seasons coaching teams in the French Top 14 competition.
