Littlehampton United Football Club is a football club that were based in Clymping, near Littlehampton in England. The club is affiliated to the Sussex County Football Association. They play at the Sportsfield, home of Littlehampton Town. The club was known as Clymping F.C. until a change of name prior to the 2018–19 season. History The club was formed in 1947 and originally played in the Littlehampton and District League before joining several seasons later the West Sussex Football League. The club moved up the divisions of the West Sussex Football League divisions, and under manager Dominic Di Paola at the end of the 2007–08 campaign after finishing as Runners-up in the Premier Division, were promoted to Division Three of the Sussex County Football League. Clymping
Climping (also spelt as Clymping) is a village and civil parish containing agricultural and natural sandy land in the Arun District of West Sussex, England. The parish also contains the coastal hamlet of Atherington. It is three miles (5 km) west of Littlehampton, just north of the A259 road. Amenities The parish church, dedicated to St Mary, dates from 1080, and is teamed with those of Yapton and Ford under one vicar. There is a canonical sundial, dating from the 12th century, on the south wall. Climping village hall was designed in 1930s by architect Herbert Collins Fringing the coast towards the River Arun and Littlehampton are the Climping sand dunes, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, which includes areas of rare vegetated shingle. Littlehampton
Littlehampton is a town, seaside resort, and pleasure harbour, and the most populous civil parish in the Arun District of West Sussex, England. It lies on the English Channel on the eastern bank of the mouth of the River Arun. It is south south-west of London, west of Brighton and east of the county town of Chichester. The parish covers an area of . The suburban area of the town has a population of approximately 55,000. The conurbation includes other settlements: Wick in the north west; Lyminster to the north; and Rustington to the east. The Sussex County Football Association, also simply known as ''Sussex County FA'' or ''Sussex FA'', is the governing body of football in the county of Sussex, England. West Sussex Football League
The West Sussex Football League is a football competition in England. It was formed in 1896. The League has eight divisions of which the highest, the Premier Division, sits at level 12 of the English football league system. It is a feeder to the Southern Combination League Division Two. Membership is not limited to clubs from West Sussex. Currently the league also includes teams from Surrey and Hampshire though these are from places that are close to the county boundaries.
