Clwyd East Football League
The North East Wales League represented the North East Wales area at the fifth tier of the Welsh football league system. It began life in 2011 as the Clwyd East League, and was renamed as the North East Wales League in 2015. It folded in 2020 due a reorganisation of football in the Welsh football pyramid. It was replaced by a new league at tiers 4 and 5 called the North East Wales Football League. Welsh National League (Wrexham Area)
The Welsh National League (Wrexham Area) was a football league in Wales and operated at level 3 and 4 of the Welsh football league system in Flintshire and Wrexham County Borough, but with some teams from Denbighshire (Corwen and Llangollen Town) and Gwynedd (Llanuwchllyn). For sponsorship purposes it was last known as the ''Guy Walmsley & Co Welsh National League''. History The League grew out of the ''Wrexham and District League'' which ran during the early years of the twentieth century. At that time the senior clubs in the Wrexham area played in English leagues such as The Combination and the Birmingham & District League. Brymbo Victoria F
Brymbo is a village and community in Wrexham County Borough, Wales. It lies in the hilly country to the west of Wrexham city, largely surrounded by farmland. At the 2001 Census, the population of the community area (including Brymbo village, along with the villages of Tanyfron and Bwlchgwyn and a number of rural hamlets) was 3,482, increasing to 4,836 at the 2011 Census. Brymbo is also the name of an electoral ward of Wrexham County Borough, whose population (including Brymbo and Tanyfron only) was 2,653 at the 2001 census, increasing to 3,981 at the 2011 Census. The area was formerly heavily dependent on coal mining and steelmaking, and the Brymbo Steelworks, which operated between 1794 and 1990, was a prominent feature of the village and much of the surrounding area. Caerwys is a town in Flintshire, Wales. It is just under two miles from the A55 North Wales Expressway and one mile from the A541 Mold-Denbigh road. At the 2001 Census, the population of Caerwys community was 1,315, with a total ward population of 2,496. Following reorganisation the community population fell at the 2011 Census to 1,283 with the ward raising to 2,569. The community includes Afonwen. Borras ( cy, Borras / Bwras) is a hamlet in Wrexham County Borough, Wales to the north-east of the city of Wrexham. It is part of the community of Holt. The nearby residential area of Borras Park is named after Borras; and is colloquially shortened to just "Borras", but is part of the community of Acton, Wrexham, in the city of Wrexham. Early history Although no human occupation sites have been found, the area of Borras has revealed some of the earliest traces of habitation in the area. Chirk ( cy, Y Waun) is a town and community in Wrexham County Borough, Wales, south of Wrexham, between it and Oswestry. At the 2011 census, it had a population of 4,468.
