Clube Sportivo Capelense was a Brazilian football club based in Capela, Alagoas. The team last participated in the Campeonato Alagoano Segunda Divisão in the 2011 season. They competed in the Copa do Brasil once and twice in the Taça Brasil. History The club was founded on 19 May 1945. They won the Campeonato Alagoano in 1959, 1962 and in 1989. The club participated in the Taça Brasil in 1960, when they were defeated in the Northeastern Final to Bahia, and competed again in 1963. Capelense competed in the Copa do Brasil in 1990, when they were eliminated in the First Round by Flamengo. The club won the Campeonato Alagoano Second Level in 2008. The Copa do Brasil 1990 was the 2nd staging of the Copa do Brasil. The competition started on June 19, 1990, and concluded on November 7, 1990, with the second leg of the final, held at the Estádio Serra Dourada in Goiânia, in which Flamengo lifted the trophy for the first time with a 0-0 draw with Goiás. Esporte Clube Bahia (), known familiarly as Bahia, is a Brazilian professional football club, based in Salvador, capital city of the Brazilian state of Bahia. The Taça Brasil ( en, Brazil Cup) was the Brazilian national football championship contested from 1959 to 1968. Bahia, Cruzeiro and Botafogo were the only champions to have played all phases of the tournament, because until the 1968 edition teams from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo were already qualified to the semi-finals. Both Cruzeiro and Bahia, the only champions not from Rio or São Paulo, beat the Santos Futebol Clube whose players included Pelé, Coutinho and Pepe. The Copa do Brasil ( en, Brazil Cup) is a knockout football competition played by 92 teams, representing all 26 Brazilian states plus the Federal District.
