CAP won the Campeonato Mineiro Third Level in 2000. Deeply in debt, the club eventually folded, and do not play professional games since 2005 to 2016 when return to the Campeonato Mineiro. Campeonato Mineiro
Campeonato Mineiro is the state football league of the state of Minas Gerais and is controlled by the Minas Gerais Football Federation FMF (Federação Mineira de Futebol). The history of Campeonato Mineiro can be divided into two parts: before and after the construction of the Mineirão, in September 1966. The Mineirão is the biggest football stadium of Minas Gerais and it is located in Minas Gerais' state capital, Belo Horizonte. Before the stadium's inauguration América and Atlético were the most successful teams in the state, but after the construction of the Mineirão, known as the "Era Mineirão" ("Mineirão Era"), another team from the capital, Cruzeiro, also gained prominence. Atlético is the most successful team in the competition, having won 47 championships as of 2022, trailed by Cruzeiro with 40 championships. 2019 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The 2019 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the fourth division. The competition started on 4 May and ended on 18 August 2019. Sixty-eight teams competed in the tournament. Sixty-four teams qualified from their state leagues and cups, and four relegated from the 2018 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C (Joinville, Juazeirense, Salgueiro and Tupi). Brusque, Ituano, Jacuipense and Manaus qualified for the semi-finals and were promoted to the 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C. The finals between Brusque and Manaus finished in a 4–4 draw on aggregate, but Brusque clinched their first title by winning 6–5 on penalties. 2019 Campeonato Mineiro
The 2019 Campeonato Mineiro was the 105th season of Mineiro's top professional football league. The competition began on January 19 and ended on April 3. Cruzeiro are the defending champions, having won their 37th title by defeating Atlético Mineiro. Format First stage The 2019 Módulo I first stage was played by 12 clubs in a single round-robin, with all teams playing each other once. The eight best-placed teams qualified for the final stage and the bottom two teams were relegated to the 2020 Módulo II. The league also selects Minas Gerais's representatives in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D and the Copa do Brasil. Patrocínio is a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The population is 91,449 (2020 est.) in an area of 2874 km2. The elevation is 965 m.
