Club De Fútbol Fraigcomar
Club de Fútbol Fraigcomar is a Puerto Rican association football club, located in San Francisco, a subbarrio of San Juan Antiguo, which is a barrio of San Juan, Puerto Rico. On February 28, 2017; the club announced it will return for the first time since 2007 to a higher category and will be in the Excellence Cup III. History 1985-2004 The organization was founded in 1985 when a group of parents decided to improve a park in San Ignacio de Río Piedras to teach football to children. After some time that park became one of the most notable in the country. In 1990 Fraigcomar finally converted into a football club and started showing their potential in the youth squads, especially in under 10. During the nineties Fraigcomar became a Puerto Rican powerhouse in the youth divisions, thanks to the coaching of Antonio Pirillo, which later became the club's president. CFU Club Championship
The Caribbean Club Championship, also known as the CFU Club Championship or CFU Club Champions' Cup, was an annual international football competition held amongst association football clubs that are members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). The Caribbean Club Championship served as a qualifying event for the CONCACAF Champions League tournament. The tournament was officially the Flow CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championship for sponsorship reasons from 2018 to 2022. With the expansion of the CONCACAF Champions League starting from the 2024 edition, the 2022 edition of the Caribbean Club Championship was the last held. Metropolitan FA is a Puerto Rican association football club from the capital of San Juan that currently plays in the Liga Puerto Rico. The club plays its home matches at the Parque Reparto Metropolitano. History Metropolitan FA was founded in 2012 by Argentine Jorge Silvetti. In 2015 the team finished third in the Copa Excelencia which took place that year in lieu of a Puerto Rico Soccer League season. By the 2016 season the club was competing in the resurrected Puerto Rico Soccer League, the top tier of football on the island. After finishing in second place during both halves of the regular season, the team had the most combined points in the league and advanced directly to the final. The club won the league championship in the playoff by defeating Bayamón FC in the final at the Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium. Campeonato Nacional de Fútbol de Puerto Rico is an amateur football league in Puerto Rico. As of 2008 it has been replaced as the highest level football league in the country by the Puerto Rico Soccer League. It was created in 2005 by the Federación Puertorriqueña de Fútbol to unify the domestic football scene (but only managed to get the attention of Liga Mayor teams, whilst most teams chose to stay in La Liga Premier, another amateur league).
