Club Deportivo San José was a football club from Oruro, Bolivia. Founded in 1942, they have won the Bolivian league four times: in 1955, 1995, 2007, and 2018. Their colours are white and blue, and they play at the Estadio Jesús Bermúdez (capacity 35,000). The club was founded on 19 March 1942 as Liga Deportiva San José. It was kept that way, until the club changed their name to the current one. Estadio Jesús Bermúdez
The Estadio Jesús Bermúdez is a multi-purpose stadium in Oruro, Bolivia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and also sometimes for athletics. The stadium has a capacity of 33,000 people, and is the home stadium of Club San José. History The stadium was opened in 1955. It is named after Jesús Bermúdez, the first goalkeeper of the Bolivia national team. The stadium hosted two games in the 1975 Copa América and the third place match of the 1997 Copa América. 2018 Bolivian Primera División Season
The 2018 Bolivian Primera División season was the 41st season of Bolivia's top-flight football league and the first season under División de Fútbol Profesional management. Bolívar were the defending champions, having won the 2017 Clausura tournament. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, named as ''Copa Sudamericana'' (; pt, Copa Sul-Americana ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana began in 2002, replacing the separate competitions Copa Merconorte and Copa Mercosur (that had replaced Copa CONMEBOL) by a single competition. The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as the Copa Libertadores de América ( pt, Copa Libertadores da América), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. The tournament is named after the '' Libertadores'' (Spanish and Portuguese for ''liberators''), the leaders of the Latin American wars of independence, so a literal translation of its former name into English is "''America's Liberators Cup''". The old 2nd tier in the Bolivian Football pyramid consists of 9 regional leagues (one for each department), the number of participants varies depending on the department, It usually has between 8 and 12 teams. Both winner and runner-up of each league compete in the Copa Simón Bolívar, with the winner of such tournament gaining promotion to the 1st Division, and the runner-up playing a play-off match with the 11th placed team in the 1st Division. Until 1976 all 8 regional championships (Pando didn't have an organized tournament back then) were the top in the national football pyramid, with the winner of the Copa Simón Bolívar being crowned as national champion. The 2007 season of Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano was the 50th season of top-tier football in Bolivia. The 2007 annual season had the 35th (Apertura 2007) and the 36th (Clausura 2007) tournament of LFPB's history. The ''Apertura'' tournament started on March 6 and finished on June 13. Oruro (Hispanicized spelling) or Uru Uru is a city in Bolivia with a population of 264,683 (2012 calculation), about halfway between La Paz and Sucre in the Altiplano, approximately above sea level.
