Club Me
''Club Me'' is the second EP released as an extra by the American punk rock band The Offspring on January 1, 1997. It was initially only available to fan club members. Copies of it were sometimes sold from their online store. ''Club Me'' is from the ''Ixnay on the Hombre'' (1997) era. The picture on the actual CD is a larger version of one of the pictures on the back of ''Ixnay on the Hombre''. None of the tracks on the EP, however, appear on ''Ixnay on the Hombre'' or any other Offspring album. This is unlike the previous EPs released by the Offspring (''Baghdad'', '' They Were Born to Kill'', and '' A Piece of Americana''), which all contained tracks that appeared on other studio albums. "Smash It Up" was also released as a single on the ''Batman Forever'' soundtrack. "D.U.I." was used in "I Know What You Did Last Summer" soundtrack. The Offspring
The Offspring is an American rock band from Garden Grove, California, formed in 1984. Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal, the band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Bryan "Dexter" Holland, lead guitarist Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman and bassist Todd Morse. Over the course of their -year career, The Offspring have released 10 studio albums and have also experienced a number of lineup changes, most notably with their drummer. Their longest-serving drummer was Ron Welty, who replaced original drummer James Lilja in 1987 and stayed with The Offspring for 16 years. Welty was replaced by Atom Willard in 2003, who was replaced four years later by Pete Parada, who remained as the drummer for The Offspring until 2021. Gregory "Greg K." Batman Forever (soundtrack)
''Batman Forever: Music from the Motion Picture'' is the 1995 soundtrack to the motion picture ''Batman Forever''. Background Only five of the songs are actually featured in the movie. Hit singles from the soundtrack include "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" by U2 and "Kiss from a Rose" by Seal, both of which were nominated for MTV Movie Awards. "Kiss from a Rose" (whose video was also directed by Joel Schumacher) reached No. 1 in the U.S. charts as well. ''Machine Gun Etiquette'' is the third studio album by English punk rock band the Damned, released on 2 November 1979 by Chiswick Records. Background The album was the group's first since reforming with Dave Vanian on vocals, Captain Sensible on lead guitar, Rat Scabies on drums, plus newcomer Algy Ward of proto punk garage rock band The Saints on bass. ''Machine Gun Etiquette'' was to be Algy Ward's only album with the band ( Algy Ward formed heavy metal Motorhead influenced band Tank after leaving The Damned). The Damned (band)
The Damned are an English punk rock band formed in London in 1976 by lead vocalist Dave Vanian, guitarist Brian James, bassist (and later guitarist) Captain Sensible, and drummer Rat Scabies. They were the first punk band from the United Kingdom to release a single, "New Rose" (1976), release a studio album, ''Damned Damned Damned'' (1977), and tour the United States. They have nine singles that charted on the UK Singles Chart Top 40. The band briefly broke up after '' Music for Pleasure'' (1977), the follow-up to their debut studio album, was critically dismissed. "Smash It Up" is a song by English punk rock band the Damned, released as a single on 12 October 1979 by Chiswick Records. It is considered the band's unofficial anthem. The single was the second release from the band's third studio ''Machine Gun Etiquette'' (1979), where it was listed as "Smash It Up (Part II)". The B-side of the single was "Burglar". Production "Smash It Up" was produced by the band and Roger Armstrong. It is structured in two-part form: a melodic instrumental introduction segueing into an energetic pop-punk song. The song's lyrics criticize those who indulge in hippie culture (referring to "blow wave hairstyles" and "Glastonbury hippies") instead of advocating for political revolution. Noodles (musician)
Kevin John Wasserman (born February 4, 1963), better known by his stage name Noodles, is an American musician and singer who serves as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for The Offspring. Biography Kevin John Wasserman was born in Los Angeles, California. Before joining The Offspring, Noodles played in a local band called Clowns of Death. He was allegedly in The Offspring because he was the only person old enough to provide alcohol for the rest of the members. He earned the nickname "Noodles" for his frequent ''noodling'' on the guitar. At one of the band's earlier shows, he was stabbed in the shoulder by a skinhead. During the band's early days, Noodles worked as a janitor at Earl Warren Elementary School in Garden Grove. Dexter Holland
Bryan Keith "Dexter" Holland (born December 29, 1965) is an American musician who is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, primary songwriter and last remaining original member of the American rock band the Offspring. He is also the creator of the hot sauce Gringo Bandito, launched in 2004. In 2017, Holland attained a PhD in molecular biology. Early life and education Holland attended Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, California, where he graduated as class valedictorian in 1984. During high school, Holland was the best student in mathematics in his year, and he found it "just as exciting as punk rock". James Newell Osterberg Jr. (born April 21, 1947), known professionally as Iggy Pop, is an American singer, musician, songwriter and actor.
