Club Deportivo GuabirĂĄ
Club Deportivo Guabirå is a Bolivian professional football club from Montero, Santa Cruz, that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Their home ground is the Estadio Gilberto Parada, which has a capacity of 18,000 spectators. Although the team has always been based in Montero, they played in Santa Cruz de la Sierra until 1999 when their stadium was finally brought up to first division standards. History The club was formed on 14 April 1962. Guabirå won its first trophy with the 1975 league title. The championship also gave the club a spot in their first continental participation: the 1976 Copa Libertadores, where it finished last in its group. The next year, in 1977, the club was one of the 16 clubs that founded the Bolivian professional league. In 1995 the club finished runner-up, which granted it a spot in the 1996 Copa Libertadores. 2018 Copa Sudamericana
The 2018 Copa CONMEBOL Sudamericana was the 17th edition of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana (also referred to as the ''Copa Sudamericana'', or pt, Copa Sul-Americana), South America's secondary club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. Brazilian club AtlĂ©tico Paranaense defeated Colombian club Junior by 4â3 on penalties in the finals after a 2â2 draw on aggregate score to win their first tournament title. As champions, AtlĂ©tico Paranaense earned the right to play against the winners of the 2018 Copa Libertadores in the 2019 Recopa Sudamericana, and the winners of the 2018 J.League Cup in the 2019 J.League Cup / Copa Sudamericana Championship. The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as the Copa Libertadores de América ( pt, Copa Libertadores da América), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. The tournament is named after the ''Libertadores'' (Spanish and Portuguese for ''liberators''), the leaders of the Latin American wars of independence, so a literal translation of its former name into English is "''America's Liberators Cup''". The competition has had several formats over its lifetime. Initially, only the champions of the South American leagues participated. In 1966, the runners-up of the South American leagues began to join. In 1998, Mexican teams were invited to compete and contested regularly from 2000 until 2016. The Aerosur Cup was a Bolivian football tournament held in the La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, sponsored by Aerosur airline. The original idea was to make AeroSur Cup a tournament for the winning teams from previous seasons in the whole country of (Bolivia), this idea changed. Later on, the Cup became a tournament between the 6 best teams of the main cities: Wilstermann, Oriente Petrolero, Blooming, The Strongest and Bolivar, and Aurora. In 2008 the tournament was split in two competition:Copa Aerosur and Copa Aerosur del Sur. The AeroSur Cup from the south was created due to the requests from several South teams that are not taken into account in the Original Cup. Bolivian Football Regional Championships
The third tier of the Bolivian football league system consists of nine regional leagues (one for each department); the number of participants varies depending on the department. It usually has between 8 and 12 teams. The winner and the runner-up of each league compete in the Copa SimĂłn BolĂvar, with the winner of such tournament gaining promotion to the 1st Division, and the runner-up playing a play-off match with the last two placed teams in the First Division. Until 1976, all 8 regional championships ( Pando didn't have an organized tournament at the time) were the top division of the national football pyramid, with the winner of the Copa SimĂłn BolĂvar being crowned as national champion. Nacional PotosĂ known as river de bolivia, is a Bolivian football and basketball team from PotosĂ. The football team currently plays in the Bolivian Primera DivisiĂłn. Founded on 8 April 1942, it plays its home games at Estadio VĂctor AgustĂn Ugarte. History Nacional PotosĂ is one of Bolivia's oldest football clubs, being founded on 8 April 1942. The team has mainly played in the second tier of Bolivian football. In 2004 it came under the ownership of Emilio Alave and the team started to mount a serious promotion challenge, coming close in 2007 when they lost to Aurora in the relegation play-off. The 2021 Copa CONMEBOL Sudamericana was the 20th edition of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana (also referred to as the ''Copa Sudamericana'', or pt, Copa Sul-Americana), South America's secondary club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. Starting from this season, teams must be in the top division of their member association to play in South American club competitions, except for teams which are champions of the qualifying tournaments or cups.
