Canadian Communications Foundation
The Canadian Communications Foundation (CCF) is a Canadian nonprofit organization which documents the history of broadcasting in Canada, particularly radio and television. Since 1995, the organization has distributed its collection via an internet website. It also provides a history of radio and television stations, including networks, programs, broadcasters and many others. The CCF was established in 1967, by the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. Its mission: to "commemorate throughout Canada the development of electronic communications". Tommy Ambrose
Thomas Ambrose (born 19 October 1939) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Tommy Ambrose was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. At age four he began gospel singing at "Youth for Christ" rallies at Massey Hall, Maple Leaf Gardens, and elsewhere under the direction of Charles B. Templeton. Until he was sixteen he performed on gospel radio shows on 590 CKEY and 1010 CFRB. Turning to popular music he made his CBC TV debut on ''Cross-Canada Hit Parade''. Shortly after that he hosted ''While We’re Young'' (summer replacement show) which then became ''The Tommy Ambrose Show'' for CBC television. Mike Darow (born Darow Myhowich; January 8, 1933 – December 7, 1996) was a Canadian-born television game show host. Darow is best known for hosting the 1968–1970 ABC run of '' Dream House'' in the United States, the 1985–1988 Canada-produced run of the Bob Stewart game show, ''Jackpot'' (seen in the U.S. on the USA Network), and ''Club 6'' from 1960 to 1962. He also hosted the first season of the game show '' The $128,000 Question'', a syndicated revival of '' The $64,000 Question'', in 1976.
