Clive Delaney
Clive Delaney (born 2 January 1980 in Dublin) is a former Irish footballer who resides in Sydney, Australia. Clive started his career on a scholarship at University College Dublin AFC in 1997 within the club's reserve team, transitioning to the League of Ireland halfway through the season. He played five seasons at UCD and played in the UEFA Intertoto Cup against Bulgarian side Levski Sofia. Clive was selected for the U18 Irish squad in 1998 and represented Ireland in the UEFA U-19 Championship in Sweden in 1999, where he scored the winning goal as Ireland defeated Greece to win the bronze medal. Clive represented his country at U18, U19 and U21 levels. In 2002, Clive signed for West Ham United where he became a regular in the Reserve side under Roger Cross, however, was released when the club were relegated to the EFL Championship. Mick McCarthy
Michael Joseph McCarthy (born 7 February 1959) is a professional football manager, pundit, and former player. He was last in charge of EFL Championship club Cardiff City. McCarthy began his playing career at Barnsley in 1977, and he later had spells at Manchester City, Celtic, Lyon, and finally Millwall, retiring in 1992. Born and raised in England, he represented the Republic of Ireland, for whom he earned 57 caps and played at UEFA Euro 1988 and the 1990 FIFA World Cup. McCarthy managed Millwall and then the Republic of Ireland. He guided the country to the knockout stage of the last 16 of the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He later managed Sunderland, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town. 2006 FAI Cup
The FAI Cup 2006 was the 86th staging of The Football Association of Ireland Challenge Cup or FAI Cup. This season's competition was the last to be sponsored by Carlsberg. It officially kicked off in late April, when twenty clubs from the junior and intermediate leagues battled it out for the chance to face League of Ireland opposition in the second round. Dundalk ( ; ga, Dún Dealgan ), meaning "the fort of Dealgan", is the county town (the administrative centre) of County Louth, Ireland. The town is on the Castletown River, which flows into Dundalk Bay on the east coast of Ireland. It is halfway between Dublin and Belfast, close to the border with Northern Ireland.
