Clio Goldsmith
Clio Goldsmith (born 16 June 1957) is a French former actress, appearing mostly as a femme fatale in some films of the early 1980s. She is a member of the prominent Goldsmith family through her father ecologist Edward Goldsmith. Goldsmith was married to British travel writer Mark Shand. Life and career She began acting in the 1980 movie '' The Cricket'' of Alberto Lattuada. Alongside Virna Lisi and Anthony Franciosa, she played a fun-loving girl ending up as prostitute. In 1981, she played prostitute Clemence in Mauro Bolognini's ''The Lady of the Camellias'' together with Isabelle Huppert. Mark Shand
Mark Roland Shand (28 June 1951 – 23 April 2014) was a British travel writer and conservationist and the brother of Queen Camilla. Shand was the author of four travel books and as a BBC conservationist, appeared in documentaries related to his journeys, most of which centered on the survival of elephants. His book ''Travels on My Elephant'' became a bestseller and won the Travel Writer of the Year Award at the British Book Awards in 1992. He was the chairman of Elephant Family, a wildlife foundation, which he co-founded in 2002. Gilbert De Goldschmidt
Gilbert de Goldschmidt (26 April 1925 - 1 January 2010) was a German-born French film producer and writer. Life and career Born in Berlin, at young age de Goldschmidt moved to France, where he started his first production company Madeleine Films in 1951. Among his about 40 produced films were Jacques Demy's Palme d'Or winner and Academy Award nominated ''The Umbrellas of Cherbourg'', Raoul Coutard's Academy Award nominated '' Hoa-Binh'', and a number of Yves Robert's successful comedies, notably ''The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe''. He also produced TV-commercials, and distribuited foreign films in France, including some Monty Python films.
