Clint Everts
Clinton Charles Everts (born August 10, 1984) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played Minor League Baseball from 2003 to 2013 and last pitched for the independent Sugar Land Skeeters in 2014. Career Everts attended Cypress Falls High School, where he pitched alongside Scott Kazmir. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the first round (fifth overall) of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft. He was rated as a top-100 prospect by ''Baseball America'' prior to the 2003 and 2004 seasons. During his third season, he underwent Tommy John surgery. Everts pitched in the Montreal Expos / Washington Nationals farm system until he signed with a major league contract with the New York Mets prior to the 2010 season. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. Australian Baseball League
The Australian Baseball League (ABL) is a professional baseball league in Australia. The league is governed by the Australian Baseball Federation (ABF). It uses the same name as a now-defunct competition held during the 1990s, and though it shares some history of the original league with the Claxton Shield awarded to winners of both competitions, it is considered to be a separate competition. Jorge Rafael Padilla (born August 11, 1979 in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder. He was first called up to the major leagues on August 5, 2009. Professional career Minor league journeyman: 1998 to 2008 Padilla was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round of the 1998 Major League Baseball Draft. He soon made his debut with the Rookie-level Martinsville Phillies. He batted .356 with five homers and 25 RBIs in 23 games.
