Clifford M. Lytle
Clifford M. Lytle (May 11, 1932 – October 9, 2014) was a political scientist, scholar of Native American studies, and legal scholar. He was a distinguished university professor in the department of political science at the University of Arizona. He frequently collaborated with fellow University of Arizona political science professor Vine Deloria Jr. Early life and education Lytle was born on May 11, 1932, in Youngstown, Ohio, and he grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. In 1962, he moved to Tucson, Arizona. He then attended Denison University and obtained a B.A. degree, followed by an LL.B. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and then a Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. Career After completing his PhD, Lytle joined the faculty at the University of Arizona, where he ultimately became a distinguished university professor. Youngstown is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio, and the largest city and county seat of Mahoning County, Ohio, Mahoning County. At the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, Youngstown had a city population of 60,068. It is a principal city of the Mahoning Valley, Youngstown–Warren metropolitan area, which had a population of 541,243 in 2020, making it the List of metropolitan statistical areas, 107th-largest metropolitan area in the United States and Ohio statistical areas, seventh-largest metro area in Ohio. Youngstown is situated on the Mahoning River, southeast of Cleveland and northwest of Pittsburgh.
