Caedmon's Call
Caedmon's Call is a contemporary Christian band which fused traditional folk with world music and alternative rock. They were composed of Cliff Young (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Danielle Young (vocals), Garett Buell (percussion), Jeff Miller (bass guitar), Todd Bragg (drums), and Josh Moore (keyboard, accordion, harmonica). Former members include Doug Elmore (percussion), Cari Harris Moore (vocals), Randy Holsapple ( Hammond organ), Aric Nitzberg (bass guitar), Joshua Phillips (pan flute/percussion), and Aaron Tate (songwriting duties). Derek Webb (vocals, guitar) left the band in 2001 to pursue a solo career, but briefly returned to the band for the 2007 recording of '' Overdressed''. Andrew Osenga joined around the time of Webb's departure, and left after the brief tour backing the 2007 album ''Overdressed''. Albert Ernest Clifford Young OAM (8 February 19222 November 2003) was an Australian potato farmer and athlete from Beech Forest, Victoria. He was best known for his unexpected win of the inaugural Sydney to Melbourne Ultramarathon in 1983 at 61 years of age. Early life Born the eldest son and the third of seven children of Mary and Albert Ernest Young on 8 February 1922, Albert Ernest Clifford Young grew up on a farm in Beech Forest in southwestern Victoria. The family farm was approximately with approximately 2,000 sheep. As a child, Young was forced to round up the stock on foot, as the family were very poor during the depression and could not afford horses. Running and ultramarathons In 1979, at the age of 56, he competed in the Adidas Sun Superun race which crossed the West Gate Bridge in Melbourne. Cliff Young (baseball)
Clifford Raphael Young (August 2, 1964 – November 4, 1993) was an American professional baseball pitcher. He pitched parts of three seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) between 1990 and 1993 for the California Angels (1990–91) and Cleveland Indians (1993). He was originally drafted by the Montreal Expos in 1983. He was acquired by the Toronto Blue Jays on September 10, 1985 completing an earlier trade of Mitch Webster to Montreal. He was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the Rule 5 draft after the 1986 season, but was returned to Toronto before the 1987 season started. Toronto traded him to the California Angels on March 9, 1989 for DeWayne Buice. The Cleveland Indians then signed him to a minor league contract on November 3, 1992, and invited him to spring training. On May 21, 1993, Young picked up the only save of his abbreviated career in a 10-5 Indians win over the Tigers. Young went 3 shutout innings, closing out the win for starter Mike Bielecki.
