Cliff Hamlow
Clifford Alwrid Hamlow (born April 11, 1934) is a former mayor of Glendora, California. Hamlow was elected to the Glendora City Council in 2002 as a result of a recall election. He served as the mayor in 2004-2005 before getting voted out in the 2005 election. Hamlow currently serves on the Glendora Planning Commission and is the president, commissioner, and secretary of the Golden State Athletic Conference Region II. Turlock, CA
Turlock is a city in Stanislaus County, California, United States. Its estimated 2019 population of 73,631 made it the second-largest city in Stanislaus County after Modesto. History Founded on December 22, 1871, by prominent grain farmer John William Mitchell, the town consisted of a post office, a depot, a grain warehouse and a few other buildings. Mitchell declined the honor of having the town named for himself. The name "Turlock" was then chosen instead. The name is believed to originate from the Irish village Turlough. In October 1870, ''Harper's Weekly'' published an excerpt from English novelist James Payn's story ''Bred in the Bone'', which includes the mention of a town named "Turlough" (translated from Irish as "Turlock"). Glendora is a city in the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County, California, east of Los Angeles. As of the 2020 census, the population of Glendora was 52,558. Golden State Athletic Conference
The Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The conference commissioner is Mike Daniels. Conference leadership is shared among the member institutions. Nine of the ten members of the GSAC are Christian colleges located in California and Arizona. Conference teams have won 22 national championships. History The Golden State Athletic Conference was formed in the fall of 1986, with Azusa Pacific University, California Lutheran University, Fresno Pacific University, Point Loma Nazarene University, Vanguard University and Westmont College as the charter members.
