Abel Clemmons
Abel Clemmons (1772 - 1806) (also referred to as Abel Clemmens in sources) was an American murderer, known for killing his Familicide, entire family in late 1805. Abel Clemmons and his family lived on the lands of Col. George Jackson, about one-half mile outside of Clarksburg, West Virginia (then Virginia). Clemmons lived with his family in an affectionate manner and they bore the character of honesty and industry. As of the fall of 1805, he was about thirty-three years old, 5'7" tall, built strong, of fair complexion, light-haired, and had lost some of his front teeth. In the weeks prior to the murder of his family, he was observed to be gloomy and melancholy, presumably due to great anxiety for the welfare of his large family. He was the father of five daughters, two sons, and an infant of unknown gender. A niece occasionally stayed in the home. For some time, Clemmons had planned to remove himself to Ohio. David Judson Clemmons is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is well known for his groundbreaking musical work in the genre of progressive-metal and post-rock. He is credited as the founder of the bands Damn the Machine, Jud, The Fullbliss & Ministers of Anger. Career Ministers of Anger Ministers Of Anger was a progressive thrash project formed by Clemmons, which included future Machine Head drummer Dave McClain, both also involved with the band Murdercar alongside former Detente guitarist Ross Robinson. Between 1988 and 1991, Ministers Of Anger recorded three demos and one of their songs, "The Great Escape", appeared on Metal Blade's '' Metal Massacre XI'' compilation. François Clemmons
François Scarborough Clemmons (born April 23, 1945) is an American singer, actor, writer and teacher. He is known for his appearances as "Officer Clemmons" on the PBS television series ''Mister Rogers' Neighborhood'' from 1968 to 1993. Early life and education Clemmons was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. When it was discovered that he had an excellent singing voice, he began performing locally at church functions. He became choir director of his church at the age of 10. His first songs were the spirituals of pre-Civil War America, passed down to him by his mother. He soon branched out across genres, singing with various community groups. For a while, he was the lead singer of a rock 'n' roll group called the Jokers. Joseph D. Clemmons, Sr. (born 1929) is a former three term Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from Norwalk, Connecticut's 140th assembly district from 1997 to 2003. He also served on the Norwalk Common Council beginning in 1995. Early life and family He is the son of Frank Clemmons, founder of the First Church of God In Christ in Brooklyn, New York. Larry Clemmons (November 25, 1906 – July 22, 1988) was an American animator, screenwriter and voice actor who was a writer for Bing Crosby on his various radio programs and one of the original animators for The Walt Disney Company. Career Clemmons graduated with a degree in architecture from University of Michigan but couldn't find work due to the effects of the Great Depression. So, desperate for work in any area he could find it, he accepted a job offer from Walt Disney in 1930 to work at his Hyperion Studios. After several years at Hyperion, he became an assistant animator for the Mickey Mouse film series. When World War II happened, Larry left the studio and decamped to the Midwest, where he wrote technical manuals for wartime manufacturing plants. On November 29, 2009, four police officers of Lakewood, Washington were fatally shot at the Forza (now Blue Steele) Coffee shop, located at 11401 Steele Street #108 South in the Parkland unincorporated area of Pierce County, Washington, near Tacoma. A gunman, later identified as Maurice Clemmons, entered the shop, shot the officers while they worked on laptops, and fled the scene with a single gunshot wound in his torso. After a massive two-day manhunt that spanned several nearby cities, an officer recognized Clemmons near a stalled car in south Seattle. When he refused orders to stop, he was shot and killed by a Seattle Police Department officer. Sarah Martin Clemmons is an American college administrator and president of Chipola College, the first woman to serve in that role. Early life and education Sarah Clemmons was raised in Marianna, Florida. She graduated from Marianna High School, Chipola College, University of West Florida, and Florida State University College of Education (FSU).
