Clayton Moss(the Cross Guitarist)
The Cross were an English rock band formed in 1987 by Queen drummer Roger Taylor. They released three studio albums before splitting up in 1993. In contrast to Queen and other outside projects, Taylor fronted the band and played rhythm guitar instead of drums. On their debut album, which was mostly recorded by Taylor before recruiting the rest of the band, they incorporated dance influences (similar to Queen's 1982 album ''Hot Space'') which were dropped on subsequent albums. History Taylor formed the Cross while Queen were on break after the Magic Tour in mid 1987. He recruited Queen's tour keyboardist, Spike Edney, but advertised for the remaining musicians who were, when the band was formed, guitarist Clayton Moss, bassist Peter Noone, and drummer Josh Macrae. The band's albums and singles were not commercially successful, although they did manage to reach the UK Albums Chart with several and they enjoyed moderate success in Germany. Pop Rock
Pop rock (also typeset as pop/rock) is a fusion genre with an emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft, and less emphasis on attitude than rock music. A guitarist (or a guitar player) is a person who plays the guitar. Blue Rock (album)
''Blue Rock'' is the third and final album released by The Cross. Like '' Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know'', ''Blue Rock'' is a straight rock album which is currently out of print and has become a hard-to-find item. Spike Edney contributed a lot more to the record, writing or co-writing seven of the ten tracks of the album. Because of the failure of their previous albums, ''Blue Rock'' was only released in Germany, Japan, Italy (vinyl only) and France (cassette only). ''Blue Rock'', too, failed to sell many copies. Mandolin
A mandolin ( it, mandolino ; literally "small mandola") is a stringed musical instrument in the lute family and is generally plucked with a pick. It most commonly has four courses of doubled strings tuned in unison, thus giving a total of 8 strings, although five (10 strings) and six (12 strings) course versions also exist. There are of course different types of strings that can be used, metal strings are the main ones since they are the cheapest and easiest to make. ''Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know'' is the second studio album by The Cross, released in 1990. In contrast to debut '' Shove It'', the album is a rock album and is a more collaborate effort with each band member contributing to the songwriting. Guitarist Clayton Moss sings lead vocals on "Better Things". It has been suggested that Roger Taylor contributed less to this album as he was busy promoting the Queen album '' The Miracle''. ''Made in Heaven'' is the fifteenth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 6 November 1995 by Parlophone Records in the United Kingdom and by Hollywood Records in the United States. It was the band's first and only release solely under the name "Queen" after the death of lead singer Freddie Mercury in 1991. Brian Harold May (born 19 July 1947) is an English guitarist, singer, songwriter, and astrophysicist, who achieved worldwide fame as the lead guitarist of the rock band Queen (band), Queen. May was a co-founder of Queen with lead singer Freddie Mercury and drummer Roger Taylor (Queen drummer), Roger Taylor. "Heaven for Everyone" is a song written by Queen drummer Roger Taylor. It originally appeared on his side project the Cross's album '' Shove It'', with Freddie Mercury as a guest vocalist, and it is the album's fourth track. It was reworked with Queen's music and appeared in the 1995 album ''Made in Heaven'' where it was the seventh track, and was released as the first single – four years after Mercury's death. The Miracle (album)
''The Miracle'' is the thirteenth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 22 May 1989 by Parlophone Records and Capitol Records in both the United Kingdom and the US, respectively, where it was the band's first and final studio album to be released on those respective labels. The album was recorded as the band recovered from Brian May's marital problems and Freddie Mercury's HIV diagnosis in 1987 (which was known to the band, though not publicised at the time). Recording started in January 1988 and lasted for an entire year. The album was originally going to be called ''The Invisible Men'', but three weeks before the release, according to Roger Taylor, they changed the name to ''The Miracle''. It was also the last Queen album with a photo of the band on the front cover.
