Clayton Gerein
Clayton Gerein (May 24, 1964 – January 22, 2010) was a Canadians, Canadian wheelchair athlete, who won 14 medals in racing events at the Paralympic Games between 1984 and 2008. Born and raised in North Battleford, Saskatchewan,Clayton Gerein at the Encyclopedia of Saskatchewan. While training racehorses, Gerein's neck broke in 1982 He first competed as a swimmer at the 1984 Summer Paralympics, 1984 Paralympics in Los Angeles, but subsequently had his greatest success competing in racing events, winning seven gold, four silver and three bronze medals during his racing career. World Para Athletics Championships
The World Para Athletics Championships, known as the IPC Athletics World Championships prior to 2017, are a biennial Paralympic athletics event organized by World Para Athletics, a subcommittee of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). It features athletics events contested by athletes with physical and intellectual disabilities. The first IPC Athletics World Championships were held in Berlin, Germany in 1994. They are a Paralympic parallel to the World Athletics Championships for able-bodied athletes. A brain tumor occurs when abnormal cells form within the brain. There are two main types of tumors: malignant tumors and benign (non-cancerous) tumors. These can be further classified as primary tumors, which start within the brain, and secondary tumors, which most commonly have spread from tumors located outside the brain, known as brain metastasis tumors. All types of brain tumors may produce symptoms that vary depending on the size of the tumor and the part of the brain that is involved. Lisa Franks (born 6 April 1982) is a Canadians, Canadian paralympic track and field, athlete from competing mainly in category T52 wheelchair sprint events. Throughout her wheelchair racing career she set List of IPC world records in athletics, world records in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, and marathon events. Career Lisa has won six paralympic gold medals. In the 2000 Summer Paralympics she won gold medals in the 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m and a silver medal in the 100m. In 2004 Summer Paralympics, 2004 she defended her 200m and 400m titles. She was coached by Clayton Gerein who was a Paralympic medallist in wheelchair racing. The two were introduced by Gerein's wife who was Lisa's physiotherapist. Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan
Pilot Butte (; cr, script=Latn, Otasawâpiwin ), meaning "lookout point", is a town in southeast Saskatchewan. Situated between Highway 46 and the Trans-Canada Highway, the town is part of the White Butte region and neighbours Balgonie, White City, and the province's capital city, Regina.
