The Clausura 2017 Copa MX Final was the final of the Clausura 2017 Copa MX, the tenth edition of the Copa MX under its current format and 77th overall organized by the Mexican Football Federation, the governing body of association football in Mexico. The final was contested in a single leg format between Liga MX clubs Guadalajara and Morelia. The match was hosted by Guadalajara at Estadio Chivas in the Guadalajara suburb of Zapopan on 19 April 2017. As winners, Guadalajara earned a spot to face Querétaro (the winners of the Apertura 2016 edition) in the 2017 Supercopa MX. 2011 Pan American Games Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony of the 2011 Pan American Games took place on October 14, 2011, beginning at 20:00 CDT (1:00 UTC, October 15) at Omnilife Stadium in Zapopan, a suburb of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The opening ceremony was directed and produced by Five Currents, which also produced the ceremonies at the 2002 Winter Olympics and the 2007 Pan American Games. Production The opening ceremony was originally scheduled to be held at Jalisco Stadium. However, the organizing committee for the Games (COPAG) changed the venue to Omnilife Stadium, because of its superior infrastructure and technological capability to host the event. Also, its proximity to the athletes village helped expedite the transportation of athletes and helped ensure their safety. The 2011 Pan American Games, officially the XVI Pan American Games, was an international multi-sport event that was held from October 14–30, 2011, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Omnilife Stadium
The Estadio Akron, formerly known as the Estadio Omnilife and Estadio Chivas (''Estadio Chivas'', ), is a multipurpose stadium that is used mostly for football matches. It is the home of Liga MX side C.D. Guadalajara. It is part of the JVC complex, and has a capacity of 48,071. Construction started in February 2004, but due to financial problems and other issues, the stadium's completion was delayed for a number of years.
