Claudia Jung
Claudia Jung (born Ute Krummenast; 12 April 1964) is a German Schlager singer and politician. Biography Jung was born in Ratingen, North Rhine-Westphalia. From 1974 till 1980, she attended the school Liebfrauenschule in Ratingen. As a child she took guitar lessons and during her schooltime she sang in the Amt-Angerland-Chor. Before her career in show business she worked as a photo lab technician, a dental assistant and a tourist guide in Italy. Every now and then she performed as a non-professional singer. In 1984, she met the music producer Adam Schairer with whom she subsequently made experimental recordings. She made her first single releases in collaboration with Schairer and the composer and producer Jean Frankfurter as well as the lyricist Erich Offierowski. The debut album ''Halt' mich fest'' ("Hold me tight") was released in 1988. Since 1999 her albums have been produced by Hans Singer with André Franke as co-producer. Ratingen
Ratingen ( li, Rotinge) is a town in the district of Mettmann in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It lies in the northwestern part of Berg about 12 km northeast of Düsseldorf. Administration With a communal reform of 1975 the independent municipalities of Breitscheid, Eggerscheidt, Hösel, Lintorf (seat Angerland) as well as the local part of Homberg and the municipality of Homberg-Meiersberg (seat Hubbelrath) were added into the city of Ratingen. Free Voters (german: Freie Wähler, FW or FWG) in Germany may belong to an association of people which participates in an election without having the status of a registered political party. Usually it involves a locally organized group of voters in the form of a registered association (eV). In most cases, Free Voters campaign only at the local-government level, standing for city councils and for mayoralties. Free Voters tend to achieve their most successful electoral results in rural areas of southern Germany, appealing most to conservative voters who prefer local decisions to party politics. Nikolaus Presnik (born 6 April 1962), better known as Nik P., is an Austrian schlager singer. Biography Born in Friesach, Nik P. moved to Straßburg, Austria with his family after the death of his mother. He learned to play the guitar at a young age and at age 19 he established—together with his cousin Gottfried Notsch—the musical group Reflex, playing local gigs. He met producer Klaus Bartelmuss recording his first studio album ''Gebrochenes Herz'' as 'Nik P und Band' in 1997. His debut single was "Dream Lover". In 2005, Nik P. separated from Reflex and his album ''Lebenslust und Leidenschaft'' was certified platinum in Austria. Corinna May (born 6 October 1970 in Bremen, Germany as Corinna Meyer) is a blind singer from Germany. She is best known for competing in the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "I Can't Live Without Music". Career From an early age she was interested in music due to her father's love of jazz. She also sang in a school choir and a gospel choir. After several talent competitions, May could release her first album in 1997; a jazz album, produced by herself. The Landtag of Bavaria, officially known in English as the Bavarian State Parliament, is the unicameral legislature of the German state of Bavaria.
