Claude Harriott
Claude Harriott (born April 8, 1981) is a former American football defensive end. Early life Harriott played high school football at Glades Central Community High School in Belle Glade, Florida. He played college football at Pittsburgh. Professional career Harriott began his professional career in the National Football League by being drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the 2004 NFL draft. He did not make the roster, being released in the final cut. In January 2005, he signed with the New York Giants but was released that April. Claude was drafted in the first round to the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europa in January 2006 NFL Europe Draft. He appeared in World Bowl XIV.In June 2006, Harriott signed with the Detroit Lions. Belle Glade, Florida
Belle Glade is a city in south-central Florida and it is the far western part of Palm Beach County, Florida, United States, on the southeastern shore of Lake Okeechobee. The 2010 CFL season is the 57th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it is the 53rd Canadian Football League season. Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton hosted the 98th Grey Cup on November 28 when the Montreal Alouettes became the first team to repeat as Grey Cup Champions in 13 years, defeating the Saskatchewan Roughriders, 21–18. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. World Bowl XIV, officially known as Yello Strom World Bowl XIV, was the 2006 championship game of the NFL Europe League. It was held at the LTU arena in Düsseldorf, Germany on Saturday, May 27, 2006. The game was between the defending World Bowl champion Amsterdam Admirals, who finished the season in first place with a record of 7–3, and the second-placed Frankfurt Galaxy, who finished with a record of 7–3 as well. 36,286 people were in attendance, as the Galaxy stripped the Admirals of their title in a 22–7 victory.
