Claude Darbos
Claude Darbos (10 October 1936 – 7 November 2016) was a French rugby union player who played as winger. He completed his entire career with the French club of the US Dax. Biography Claude Darbos joins the US Dax in junior category. He is the brother of Pierre Darbos, also a rugby player. During his career at the top level, he played in 1961 and 1963 the final of the French Rugby Union Championship, but did not win. After retirement, he became a coach at the US Dax rugby school. Pierre Darbos
Pierre Darbos (born 10 December 1939 in Saint-Paul-lès-Dax and died 18 November 2017 in Pau) was a French rugby union player who played for third line wing. He completed his entire career with the French club of the US Dax. With an international selection with the France team, he plays most of his career in the US Dax, but also RC Narbonne. Biography Pierre Darbos begins the practice of rugby XV with the club of high school of Dax, Genêts, from the season 1952-1953. He is the brother of Claude Darbos, also a rugby player, whom he joined in the US Dax the same year. Under the direction of Jean Desclaux, he won with the cadets the championship of France twice, in 1955 and 1956. He wears from the youth categories the jersey of the French team, from his first season in the club Acquois. In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Created in 1892, the Top 14 is at the top of the national league system operated by the French National Rugby League, also known by its French initialism of LNR.
