Claude Bourbonnais
Claude Bourbonnais (born June 24, 1965), is a former driver in the Toyota Atlantic, Indy Lights, and CART Championship Car series. He raced in the 1994 CART series with 5 starts. He also raced in the 1997 Indianapolis 500, which by then had become part of the Indy Racing League, completing 9 laps and finishing in 30th position. He was the Toyota Atlantic teammate of fellow French-Canadian and future Formula One world champion Jacques Villeneuve in 1993 and in fact finished ahead of Villeneuve in series points. He has been working for major car manufacturer in USA doing demonstration drives and was also a driver coach in the American Ferrari Challenge. L'Île-Perrot, Quebec
The Town of Île-Perrot (French/official name: ''Ville de l'Île-Perrot'') is a town and municipality on Île Perrot in southwestern Quebec, Canada. The population as of the Canada 2016 Census was 10,756. The town is at the western end of Lake Saint-Louis, and borders the local island communities of Terrasse-Vaudreuil, Pincourt and Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot. The IndyCar Series, currently known as the NTT IndyCar Series under sponsorship, is the highest class of regional North American open-wheel single-seater formula racing cars in the United States, which has been conducted under the auspices of various sanctioning bodies since 1920 after two initial attempts in 1905 and 1916. Reynard Motorsport was the world's largest racing car manufacturer in the 1980s. Cornelius "Cor" Euser (born April 25, 1957) is a Dutch racing driver from Oss. His son Michael is also a racing driver Career After winning several Formula Ford titles in 1980 and 1981, Euser went to the FIA European Formula Three Championship part-time in 1982 and 1983. He expanded his racing in 1984 competing in the British and German Formula Three series. He made his Formula 3000 debut in the final race of the 1986 season at Jarama after failing to qualify for the first race of the season. He made 8 Formula 3000 starts the following year but failed to score points. He finally broke into the points in 1988, finishing 19th in the championship with a 5th place at Brands Hatch. Circuit Trois-Rivières
The Circuit Trois-Rivières is a street circuit in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. The circuit has been the home of the annual Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, the longest-running street race in North America, since 1967. The circuit is located on the Terrain de l'Exposition (fairgrounds) and is unusual in that it passes through ''Porte Duplessis'', the narrow concrete gateway of the grounds at turn 3. Formula Ford, also known as F1600 and Formula F, is an entry-level class of single seater, open-wheel formula racing. The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, also spelled ''Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve'' (), is a motor racing circuit in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is the venue for the FIA Formula One Canadian Grand Prix. It has previously hosted the FIA World Sportscar Championship, the Champ Car World Series, the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. 1984 Canadian Grand Prix
The 1984 Canadian Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal on 17 June 1984. It was the seventh race of the 1984 Formula One World Championship. The 70-lap race was won by Brazilian Nelson Piquet, driving a Brabham- BMW. Piquet took pole position, led all 70 laps and set the fastest race lap, finishing 2.6 seconds ahead of Austrian Niki Lauda in the McLaren- TAG. Lauda's French teammate, Alain Prost, finished third. The top six was completed by Elio de Angelis in the Lotus-Renault, René Arnoux in the Ferrari, and Nigel Mansell in the other Lotus-Renault. After the race, Piquet climbed out of his car and collapsed on the ground, due to a badly burned right foot caused by the extreme heat from his Brabham's new nose-mounted oil cooler which had actually burned a hole in his driving boot. CRG (kart Manufacturer)
CRG is a kart chassis manufacturer of recent years. Famous alumni include Alex Zanardi, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. They were founded in the late 1970s by three Italian racers (Carlo Vanaria, Roberto Vanaria and Giancarlo Tinini), and were originally known as Kali Karts. In the beginning the company was a laughing stock, with Zanardi being told by his original team DAP that if he didn't stop complaining they would "send him to Kali". By the mid 1980s Kali had recovered from its inauspicious beginnings and was winning World Championships with drivers like Mike Wilson. The name change to CRG took place gradually in the early 1990s and ushered in an era of more World Championships from Danilo Rossi and Alessandro Manetti. Superkart
Superkart is a form of motorsport road racing that uses karts on long circuits. The most obvious difference between a superkart and most other forms of kart is that they have full aerodynamic bodykits as well as having a longer wheel base than sprint chassis and are generally raced on car circuits over 1,500 metres in length. The power unit, most often, but not exclusively two-stroke 250 cc engines, can be specially designed kart engines or production motorcycle engines with either five- or six-speed sequential manual gearboxes. Owing to their high top speed and superb cornering ability, a superkart's aerodynamic bodywork includes a front fairing, larger sidepods, and a rear wing.
