Clarksville, Hunterdon County, New Jersey
Glen Gardner is a borough in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 1,682, a decrease of 22 (−1.3%) from the 2010 census count of 1,704, which in turn reflected a decline of 198 (−10.4%) from the 1,902 counted in the 2000 census. Glen Gardner is located at the extreme western border of Lebanon Township and was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 26, 1919, from portions of both Lebanon Township and Bethlehem Township based on the results of a referendum held that same day. It was historically centered at the intersection of the U.S. Route 1 in New Jersey, Trenton-New Brunswick Turnpike, County Route 533 (New Jersey), Quakerbridge Road and Province Line Road, and had a blacksmith shop, saloon, store, hotel and school. Today, Clarksville is dominated by several large shopping centers, including the Quaker Bridge Mall.
