Clareview
Clareview is a residential area in the northeast portion of the city of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. It was established in 1972 through Edmonton City Council's adoption of the Clareview Outline Plan, which guides the overall development of the area. Clareview station is the northern terminus of the Edmonton Light Rail Transit. Geography Located in northeast Edmonton, the Clareview area is generally bounded by a Canadian National rail line to the northwest, 130 Avenue and the Kennedale Ravine to the south, the North Saskatchewan River valley and 18 Street to the east, and a power line right-of-way to the north. The area is bisected by 50 Street, of which forms part of Highway 15, as well as Victoria Trail, 137 Avenue and 153 Avenue. Clareview Town Centre, formerly comprising Clareview Business Park and Clareview Campus, is a mixed-use neighbourhood located in the Clareview area of northeast Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Clareview Station
Clareview station is an Edmonton Light Rail Transit station in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It serves the Capital Line and is currently the northern terminus of the line. It is a ground-level station located near 42 Street and 139 Avenue, and is named for the northeast Edmonton district of Clareview. As of 2018, it is the northernmost rail transit station in North America, being at approximately the same latitude as Dublin, Ireland, Manchester, England, and Hamburg, Germany. History The station was opened on April 26, 1981. Major renovations to the station were completed on March 4, 2001. These renovations included a new covered station platform, two bus terminals, the addition of wheelchair ramps at station entrances, and a pedestrian underpass connecting the station to both bus terminals. Casselman-Steele Heights is a residential area in the northeast portion of the City of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. Though development had already commenced in a portion of the area, its extents were established in 1972 through Edmonton City Council's adoption of the Casselman-Steele Heights District Outline Plan, which guided the overall development of the area. Edmonton Light Rail Transit
Edmonton Light Rail Transit, commonly referred to as the LRT, is a light rail system in Edmonton, Alberta. Part of the Edmonton Transit Service (ETS), the system has 18 stations on two lines and of track. As of 2018, it is number seven on the busiest light rail transit systems in North America, with over 113,000 daily weekday riders.
