Clare McDonnell
Clare McDonnell (born 1967) is a Sony Radio Academy Awards winning British radio broadcaster and presenter. Career McDonnell began as a reporter in local radio in England, and from there moved on to be a radio presenter. For several years, she presented the Breakfast Show on BBC GLR Radio, and many shows on national radio, such as the ''Trade Update'' series on BBC Radio 1, and ''Global'' on BBC Radio Five Live, where she also worked on the ''Nicky Campbell Show'' as the Euro News presenter. McDonnell was a television presenter on ''Liquid News'', an entertainment news show on BBC One and BBC Three. She was one of the original presenters at the launch of BBC Radio 6 Music in March 2002, starting with a Saturday afternoon show. She later presented the weekend overnight music show on Saturday and Sunday until her final broadcast on BBC Radio 6 Music on 28 March 2010. Newsday (radio Programme)
''Newsday'' is BBC World Service's international hard news and current affairs programme. It acts as an afternoon programme for Asia, a breakfast broadcast in Europe and the UK and an overnight news programme for the Americas. It premiered on 23 July 2012. It replaced '' The World Today'' and ''Network Africa'', the programme that had a particular focus on Africa. It was expected at its launch that ''Newsday'' would have one of the largest audiences - if not the largest - of any radio programme in the world. Nicky Campbell
Nicholas Andrew Argyll Campbell, OBE (born Nicholas Lackey, 10 April 1961) is a Scottish broadcaster and journalist. He has worked in television and radio since 1981 and as a network presenter with BBC Radio since 1987. Early life Campbell was born in Portobello, Edinburgh in April 1961 and was taken for adoption at just a few days old. His adoptive mother was a psychiatric social worker and his adoptive father a publisher of maps. He was educated at the independent school the Edinburgh Academy. In July 2022, he disclosed that he witnessed and experienced sexual and violent physical abuse there, which had a "profound effect on islife". He studied history at the University of Aberdeen and graduated with a 2:1 degree. BBC Radio Kent is the BBC's local radio station serving the county of Kent. It broadcasts on FM, DAB, digital TV and via BBC Sounds from studios at The Great Hall in Tunbridge Wells. BBC 6 Music was the first national music radio station to be launched by the BBC in 32 years. BBC Three
BBC Three is a British free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the BBC. It was first launched on 9 February 2003 with programmes targeting 16 to 34-year-olds, covering all genres including animation, comedy, current affairs, and drama series.
