''Clara Gibbings'' is a 1934 Australian film directed by F.W. Thring about the owner of a London pub who discovers she is the daughter of an earl. Frank Harvey (22 December 1885 – 10 October 1965) was a British-born actor, producer and writer best known for his work in Australia. Biography Frank Harvey was born Harvey Ainsworth Hilton, in 1883 in Earls Court, London, son of John Ainsworth Hilton and Elizabeth Hilton. His occupation in the British 1911 Census was "actor" and was married with Grace Hilton, . He had 3 sisters, named Maria, Cora and Caroline according to the British 1891 Census. Caroline Gladys Hilton was married to Hanns Wyldeck and from that union was born in 1914 Harvey Martin Wyldeck, also an actor, who died in England in 1989. He was the cousin to Frank Harvey, Harvey Ainsworth Hilton's son from Grace Hilton. Martin Wyldeck's son Christopher Wyldeck also moved to Australia in the 1970s and became a TV director. ''The Streets of London'' is a 1934 Australian film directed by F. W. Thring. It was a filmed version of a play by Dion Boucicault which Thring had produced on stage the previous year. It was the last film made by Efftee Film Productions – Thring ceased production afterwards with the aim of resuming it later but died in 1936 before he had the chance. Plot Captain Fairweather deposits money with the banker Gideon Bloodgood. After learning that Bloodgood's bank is shaky, Fairweather tries to retrieve the money and dies in an argument with the banker. Bloodgood keeps the money but his clerk, Badger, finds out about it. Years later he blackmails his old boss with proof of the murder. Dame Mary Susan Etherington, (15 July 1864 – 15 October 1942), known professionally as Marie Tempest, was an English singer and actress. Tempest became a famous soprano in late Victorian light opera and Edwardian musical comedies. Later, she became a leading comic actress and toured widely in North America and elsewhere. She was, at times, her own theatre manager during a career spanning 55 years. She was also instrumental in the founding of the actors' union Equity in Britain. The Garrick Theatre is the longest continually running amateur theatre group in metropolitan Western Australia, located at 16 Meadow Street in Guildford, Western Australia.
