Cydney Clanton
Cydney Clanton (born July 18, 1989) is an American professional golfer who has played on the LPGA Tour and the Symetra Tour. She has won twice on the Symetra Tour and once on the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Clanton played college golf at Auburn University where she won twice. She also won the North and South Women's Amateur. She played on the winning 2010 Curtis Cup team where she won two matches and halved a third. She also played on the U.S. team at the 2010 Espirito Santo Trophy that finished second to the South Korea team. Professional career Clanton turned professional in 2011 and played on the Symetra Tour that year. She earned her LPGA Tour card for 2012 through the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. Denny Clanton (born April 4, 1982, in Hammond, Indiana) is an American soccer player who last played defense for the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer. Clanton was drafted 38th overall by the Fire in the 2004 MLS Superdraft out of University of Dayton, succeeding in making the team's developmental roster. While at Dayton, Clanton was named All-Atlantic 10 first team as well as All-Ohio Player of the Year in his senior 2004 season. Ike Clanton
Joseph Isaac Clanton (1847 – June 1, 1887) was a member of a loose association of outlaws known as The Cowboys who clashed with lawmen Wyatt, Virgil and Morgan Earp as well as Doc Holliday. On October 26, 1881, Clanton was present at the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral in the boomtown of Tombstone, Arizona Territory but was unarmed and ran from the gunfight, in which his 19-year-old brother Billy was killed. Clanton filed murder charges against the Earps and Holliday but after a 30-day preliminary hearing, Justice Wells Spicer ruled that the lawmen had acted within their lawful duty. Clanton was implicated in the attempted assassination of Virgil Earp on December 30, 1881 but other Cowboys provided an alibi and he was released. Six years later Clanton was killed attempting to flee when he was shot by a lawman seeking to arrest him for cattle-rustling. Billy Clanton
William Harrison Clanton (1862 – October 26, 1881) was an outlaw Cochise County Cowboys, Cowboy in Cochise County, Arizona Territory. He, along with his father Newman Haynes Clanton, Newman Clanton and brother Ike Clanton, worked a ranch near the boomtown of Tombstone, Arizona, Tombstone, Arizona Territory and cattle raiding, stole livestock from Mexico and later U.S. ranchers. He was a member of group of loosely organized outlaws who had ongoing conflicts with lawmen Wyatt Earp, Wyatt, Virgil Earp, Virgil, and Morgan Earp. James Holt Clanton
James Holt Clanton (January 8, 1827 – September 27, 1871) was an American soldier, lawyer, legislator, and was later also a Confederate combatant. He enlisted in the United States Army for service during the Mexican–American War, and later was a Confederate Army brigadier general during the American Civil War. Following the war he returned to practicing law and later was murdered in a private feud in Tennessee.
