Camogie ( ; ga, camógaíocht ) is an Irish stick-and-ball team sport played by women. Camogie is played by 100,000 women in Ireland and worldwide, largely among Irish communities. National Camogie League 2010
The 2010 National Camogie League is a competition in the women's team field sport of camogie was won by Wexford for the second year in succession. They defeated Kilkenny in the final, played at Semple Stadium. Arrangements The seven teams in the first division were drawn into two groups of four and three. Each team played one another once only. Declan Ruth
Declan Ruth (born 30 April 1976) is an Irish hurling manager and former player. He is the current manager of his hometown club Rapparees, having enjoyed a lengthy career with them as a player, while he also lined out with the Wexford senior hurling team. Ruth usually lined out as a defender. Playing career Ruth first came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels as a dual player with the Shamrocks GAA club, before transferring to the Rapparees GAA club. He eventually progressed onto the club's top adult teams and won two County Championship titles as a Gaelic footballer. Ruth first appeared on the inter-county scene as a member of the Wexford minor team before later winning consecutive Leinster Under-21 Championship titles. He made his first appearance for the Wexford senior hurling team in an Oireachtas Cup game against Clare in November 1995. Coláiste Bríde is a secondary school located in Clondalkin, South Dublin, Ireland. Coláiste Bríde was founded by the Presentation Sisters in 1955. All Ireland Colleges Camogie Championship
The All-Ireland Colleges Camogie Championship is an Irish camogie tournament played each year to determine the national champion secondary school or second level college. Since 1969 it has been administered by the Secondary Education committee of the Camogie Association. The record holders are St Raphaels College, Loughrea, Co Galway with 8 senior titles in a row. The current holders of the cup are Seamount College, Kinvara. Seamount defeated near-neighbours St. Flannan's College in a thrilling final played at Gort GAA. The scoreline was 1-5 to 0-6. Gael Linn Cup
The Gael Linn Cup is a bi-ennial tournament, representative competition for elite level participants in the women's team field sport of camogie, contested by Ireland's four provincial teams with competitions at senior and junior level on alternate years. The tournament has existed in various guides since 1956, currently the senior tournament is played in even years and the junior tournament in odd years. National Camogie League
The National Camogie League, known for sponsorship reasons as the Very Ireland Camogie Leagues, is a competition in the Irish team sport of camogie, played exclusively by women. The competition is held in three divisions graded by ability. It was first played in 1976 for a trophy donated by Allied Irish Banks when Tipperary beat Wexford in a replayed final. Division Two (originally the National Junior League) was inaugurated in 1979 and won by Kildare. The first two National League competitions started in the autumn and finished in the spring of 1976–77 and 1977–78 respectively.
