Claire Mary Moore (born 19 February 1956) is an Australian politician who was an Australian Labor Party Australian Senate, Senator for Queensland from 2002 to 2019, having been elected in the 2001 Australian federal election, 2001 Federal Election, and the Shadow Minister for International Development and the Pacific. Senator Moore has previously served as Shadow Minister for Women, Shadow Minister for Carers, Shadow Minister for Communities and the Manager of Opposition Business in the Australian Senate, Senate. Prior to entering Parliament, Moore was the Queensland Secretary of the Community and Public Sector Union from 1994 to 2001 and a public servant. Early years Moore was born in Toowoomba, Queensland, to Catholic parents Mick and Mary Moore. Claire Moore (2 January 1960 in Over Hulton, Bolton) is an English soprano singer and actress, best known for her leading role as Christine in Andrew Lloyd Webber's ''The Phantom of the Opera'' and as Ellen in ''Miss Saigon.'' Biography Early life The daughter of Peggy and Geoff Moore, the latter a jazz musician, she was educated at Hesketh Fletcher School, Atherton, and Leigh Sixth Form College, before training at the Royal Northern College of Music. Career Her early work includes appearing alongside Richard Harris in the 1982 London production of ''Camelot'' and playing the lead role of Audrey in the 1983–85 Comedy Theatre production of '' Little Shop of Horrors.'' Claire Mahl Moore
Claire Mahl Moore (1917–1988) was an American artist known for her printmaking. Her career spanned from the 1930s through the 1980s. Moore took classes at the Art Students League, under the instructors Charles Locke, Harry Wickey, and Thomas Hart Benton. During the Great Depression, she worked as a printmaker for the Federal Art Project under the New Deal. She was a member of the "initial nucleus" of The Siqueiros Experimental Workshop in New York, 1936. The Workshop was organized by the Mexican artist, David Alfaro Siqueiros who was then visiting New York as a Mexican delegate to the American Artists' Congress. Other artists in this "initial nucleus" include Harold Lehman, Sande McCoy, Jackson Pollock, Axel Horn, George Cox, Lou Ferstadt, Luis Arenal, Antonio Pujol, Conrado Vasquez, Jose Guatierrez, and Roberto Berdecio.
