"Clair de Lune" is a song released by the Australian DJ duo Flight Facilities, written by singer-songwriter Christine Hoberg and producers Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell. It features a melodic interpretation of a section of " Clair de Lune" by French composer Claude Debussy. The song was released in October 2012 as the second single from the band's debut studio album, '' Down to Earth'' (2014). The song peaked at number 38 on the ARIA charts and was certified gold in 2013. At the APRA Music Awards of 2013, the song was shortlisted for Song of the Year. The 2012 Triple J Hottest 100 was announced on Australia Day 26 January 2013. It was the 20th countdown of the most popular songs of the year, as chosen by the listeners of Australian radio station Triple J. Voting commenced on 19 December 2012, and closed at midnight on 20 January 2013. Over 1.5 million votes were cast in this countdown, beating the record set in the 2011 list. In the week prior to the countdown, Nick Drewe, a Brisbane statistician and marketer, analysed the votes that had been published on social media and determined the possible top 100, naming it thWarmest 100 The votes that had been published represented approximately 2.7% of the total vote. Christine Hoberg is an American singer-songwriter and electronic music producer from Superior, Wisconsin, currently based in Minneapolis. She has worked previously with artists such as Flight Facilities, Kiings, Ivan Gough, and Feenixpawl. She is known for her distinctive fluttery voice and live looping.
