The School of Law of City University of Hong Kong was founded in 1987, as the second law school in Hong Kong. History The Department of Law was established in 1987, followed by the Department of Professional Legal Education in 1992. In March 1993, the two departments were brought together to merge as the Faculty of Law, and later renamed as the School of Law since the administrations of the two departments were unified. The school publishes Asia Pacific Law Review since 1992 and a student-edited City University of Hong Kong Law Review since 2009. The school also has participated in various mooting competitions, having won moots such as ICC Moot and Vis East in 2012, and Willem C. Vis Moot in 2013. The Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL; 法學專業證書) is an intensive one-year full-time (or two-year part-time) professional legal qualification programme in Hong Kong. It allows graduates to proceed to legal training before qualifying to practice as either a barrister or a solicitor in Hong Kong. The "LL." of the abbreviation for the certificate is from the genitive plural ''legum'' (of lex, legis f., law). Priscilla Leung Mei-fun (; born 18 November 1960, Hong Kong) is a barrister and Hong Kong Legislative Councillor, representing the Election Committee since 2022. She previously represented the Kowloon West constituency from 2008 to 2021. She was a member of Kowloon City District Council. Paul Tse Wai-chun, JP (, born 1959) is a Hong Kong solicitor, who claims himself as the "Superman of Law". He also owns a small travel agency and was elected to the Legislative Council of Hong Kong for the tourism functional constituency in the 2008 legislative election. He is known for his relationship with celebrity and radio host Pamela Peck. Tse is of Hakka ancestry. Eunice Yung Hoi-yan (; born 7 June 1977) is a Hong Kong barrister and pro-Beijing politician. She is a member of the New People's Party (NPP) and the Civil Force (CF). She became member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong for New Territories East in 2016 and for Election Committee in 2021. Early life Yung was born in Hong Kong in 1977 and was educated at St. Francis' Canossian College and Rosaryhill School.
