City Kids 1989
''City Kids 1989'' is a 1989 Hong Kong action film directed by Poon Man-kit and starring Andy Lau and Max Mok. The film shares the same Chinese title and a similar plot to the 1969 film, '' The Orphan'', which stars Bruce Lee. Plot In 1962, Chow Wing (Wong Chung) flees to Hong Kong from Chiuchow with son Chow Chong-san, his younger sister, Chow Man-sau (Paw Hee-ching) and his niece Lam So-mui. However, Wing was shot by the People's Liberation Army while protecting his family and was separated from them. Man-sau make it Hong Kong along with So-mui and Chong-san, who was renamed Cho-sam when So-mui was registering with an immigration officer who could not understand her Chiuchow accent. Wing also survives from the gunshot and makes it to Hong Kong where he becomes a police officer. Andy Lau
Andy Lau Tak-wah (; born 27 September 1961) is a Hong Kong actor, singer-songwriter and film producer. He has been one of Hong Kong's most commercially successful film actors since the mid-1980s, performing in more than 160 films while maintaining a successful singing career at the same time. In the 1990s, Lau was branded by the media as one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Cantopop and was named as "Fourth Tiger" among the Five Tiger Generals of TVB during the 1980s. In the Philippines, he was previously given the screen name Ricky Chan. By April 2000, Lau won an unprecedented total of 292 awards. Blackie Ko
Blackie Ko () (February 22, 1953 – December 9, 2003) was a Taiwanese film director, producer, stuntman, singer and actor. Blackie was considered to be the greatest automotive stunt choreographer in Asia. Personal life In 1956, his family moved to Taiwan during Battle of Dachen Archipelago. He married Sung Lai Wah and they have a son named Alan Ko, a daughter named Jennifer Ko, and another son named Jacky Ko. In 1997, Ko drove a car over the Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River in Shaanxi Province to celebrate the handover of Hong Kong. Death On December 9, 2003, Ko died of blood poisoning in Shanghai.
