The City Bowl is a part of Cape Town in South Africa. It is a natural amphitheatre-shaped area bordered by Table Bay and defined by the mountains of Signal Hill, Lion's Head, Table Mountain and Devil's Peak. M3 (Cape Town)
The M3 is an expressway in Cape Town, South Africa, connecting the upper part of the City Bowl to the Southern Suburbs and ending in Tokai. For most of its route it parallels - though further to the south and west - the M4 (Main Road), which was the original road connecting central Cape Town with the settlements to the south. Route The M3 begins at a traffic light on Buitengracht Street (the M62) and runs south-east as Buitensingel Street, a dual-carriage roadway. For the next three kilometres it runs south and then east through Gardens; it changes names regularly, being named Orange Street, Annandale Road, Mill Street and Jutland Avenue. The Western Cape Provincial Parliament (WCPP) is the legislature of the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is located at 7 Wale Street in Cape Town. The Western Cape is a province of South Africa, situated on the south-western coast of the country. Woodstock, Cape Town
Woodstock is one of the earliest suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa, between the docks of Table Bay and the lower slopes of Devil's Peak, about east of the city centre of Cape Town. Woodstock is served by Woodstock and Esplanade railway stations, and has the postal code 7925 for street addresses and 7915 for post office box deliveries. Walmer Estate is a suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It lies at the foot of Table Mountain and is bordered to the south by Table Mountain National Park, to the north-east by Woodstock and to the west by Zonnebloem. It covers an area of 0.47 km2. Vredehoek
Vredehoek (Afrikaans: "corner of peace" or "peace corner") is a suburb of Cape Town, South Africa located in the City Bowl, on the slopes of Table Mountain, between Devil's Peak Estate and Oranjezicht. The suburb was proclaimed after the first world war and immigrants from many European countries settled here after peace was declared. It is popular among dual income households yet to have children, and the suburb has been going through an urban revival as older blocks of flats are being replaced with high-quality apartments. The area has an established Neighbourhood Watch community known as DPV, which includes the adjacent suburb of Devil's Peak Estate. There are a series of community amenities such as parks, restaurants, cafes, a library and access to walking trails on the Table Mountain for the public in Vredehoek. University Estate is a mainly residential suburb of Cape Town located at the foot of Devil's Peak to the east of the city. University Estate has the postcode 7925. Relation to other suburbs University Estate is bounded by the De Waal Drive to the south, the Eastern Boulevard to the north, and Mountain Road to the west. To the south lie the slopes of Devil's Peak within the Table Mountain National Park, to the north lie Woodstock and Salt River, and to the west lies District 6 ( Walmer Estate). Tamboerskloof
Tamboerskloof is a neighbourhood and suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. It lies on the slopes of Lion's Head and Signal Hill, adjacent to the neighbourhoods of Gardens and Bo-Kaap. Tamboerskloof is one of the contiguous group of neighbourhoods referred to as the City Bowl. Etymology The name ''Tamboerskloof'' is derived from the Dutch and Afrikaans words ''tamboer'' (drum) and ''kloof'' (valley). When Dutch settlers arrived and set up farms in the 1650s, they established the first of a series of lookout points at the site where Tamboerskloof lies today. From these lookout points, watchmen would beat drums to alert farmers in the area to the approach of a ship.
