City 41
City 41 is a Faisalabad-based news channel which broadcasts news and information about latest happenings and events in the city of Faisalabad in Punjab, Pakistan. The channel is owned by Mohsin Naqvi who is the founder of City News Group. Naqvi is politically affiliated with Chaudhrys of Gujrat through marriage. The channel contains a variety of programs in Urdu and English which span from current affairs to general infotainment. City 41 also broadcasts Faisalabad Region news which include Jhang District, Chiniot District, and Toba Tek Singh District. City41 caters to the needs of over 15 million citizens of Faisalabad Division. It is the first city specific channel for the residents of this division. By introducing a local news channel, City41 is able to highlight and bring to the forefront local politics, administration and news stories from this division. 1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. Toba Tek Singh District
Toba Tek Singh District ( Punjabi and ur, ) is a district of Faisalabad Division in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is located between 30°33' to 31°2' Degree north latitudes and 72°08' to 72°48' Degree longitudes. It became a separate district in 1982. Etymology The city and district is named after a Sikh religious figure Tek Singh. Legend has it that Tek Singh, a kind-hearted man served water and provided shelter to the worn out and thirsty travelers passing by a small pond ("TOBA" in Punjabi) which eventually was called Toba Tek Singh, and the surrounding settlement acquired the same name. There is also a park here named after Tek Singh. British Raj Toba Tek Singh was developed by the British toward the end of the 19th Century when a canal system was built. Chiniot District
Chiniot District ( Punjabi and ur, ), became the 36th district of the Punjab province of Pakistan in February 2009. Before this, it was a tehsil of Jhang District. History Chiniot region was an agricultural region with forests during the Indus Valley civilization. The Vedic period is characterized by Indo-Aryan culture that migrated from Central Asia and settled in Punjab region. The Kambojas, Daradas, Kaikayas, Madras, Pauravas, Yaudheyas, Malavas and Kurus invaded, settled and ruled ancient Punjab region. Jhang District
Jhang District ( Punjabi and ur, ) is a district of Faisalabad division in the Punjab province, Pakistan. Jhang city is the capital of district. Geography Jhang District has a triangle-like shape, with its apex at the narrow southwestern corner and its base on the northeastern side. The district is traversed by two major rivers, the Jhelum and the Chenab. The Chenab generally flows towards the southwest, and it runs right down the middle of the district so that it practically divides the district into two equal parts. The Jhelum enters Jhang District to the west of the Chenab and flows almost due south until it meets the Chenab at a place called the Domel. The combined river takes the name Chenab, and it leaves the district just to the east of the far southwestern corner.
