''Citation'' is a 2020 Nigerian film directed by Kunle Afolayan, written by Tunde Babalola and starring Jimmy Jean-Louis, Temi Otedola, Bukunmi Oluwashina, Gabriel Afolayan and a host of others. Synopsis The film is about a university student who speaks out after a university professor attempts to rape her, and the reaction of the university institution to the claims. The film is broadly based on true events. Kunle Afolayan
Kunle Afolayan (born 30 September 1975) is a Nigerian actor, producer and director. He is widely credited for elevating the quality of Nollywood movies though larger budgets, shooting on 35mm, releasing in cinemas, and improving cliché Nollywood storylines. After starting his film career as an actor in the 1999 political drama '' Saworoide'', Afoloayan made his directorial debut in 2006 with '' Irapada'', a Nigerian supernatural thriller, which won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Film in an African Language. His follow-on directing credits include ''The Figurine'', ''Phone Swap'', ''October 1,'' and ''Citation. Sadiq Daba
Sadiq Abubakar Daba, known simply as Sadiq Daba (1951/52 – 3 March 2021) was a Nigerian actor and broadcaster. In 2015, he won Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as "Inspector Waziri" in ''October 1''. Education He had his secondary education at St. Edward's Secondary School. He got higher degrees in many institutions including Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria. Career Daba has worked as a broadcaster for Nigerian Television Authority.
