Cinepoly Records (新藝寶) is a Hong Kong-based record label founded in 1985. It was a subsidiary of PolyGram Records and the film company Cinema City. Ownership of Cinepoly Records switched to Universal Music Group after Universal acquired PolyGram Records in 1998 and albums are distributed by Universal Music Hong Kong starting from 2017. Miriam Yeung
Miriam Yeung (born 3 February 1974) is a Hong Kong actress and Cantopop diva. As of 2020, she has released more than 35 albums and has starred in more than 40 films. In 2012, Yeung won the Award for Best Actress at the 32nd Hong Kong Film Awards for portraying Cherie Yu in ''Love in the Buff''. Yeung studied at the Holy Family Canossian College in Kowloon and was a registered nurse at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung, Hong Kong. She began her career in entertainment after coming third in the TVB 14th annual New Talent Singing Awards competition in 1995. Nan Yik-Pong, better known by his stage name Pong Nan (; born 15 May 1978), is a Cantopop musician, singer-songwriter and actor in Hong Kong of Hakka ancestry. Life and career 1978–2004: Early life and career beginnings In 1989, amid mass migrations due to unclear handover situation to China situation, at the age of 11, Nan and his family immigrated to Canada. Kary Ng
Kary Ng (born 9 June 1986) is a pop rock singer in Hong Kong. When she debuted, she had been a member of a music group, Cookies; however, the members of Cookies were eventually arranged to explore their respective solo careers in 2005, and the group is now disbanded. She had temporarily been the lead vocals of rock band Ping Pung in 2004, but Ping Pung had also disbanded after only releasing one album that same year. Commencing in 2005, Ng had officially begun developing her career as a solo artist. As a girl, Ng had studied at the Canadian International School of Hong Kong. She had made references to her nickname "Lady K" in the album titles " Lady K Live" and " Lady K: Transformation". Swing (Hong Kong Band)
Swing is a Hong Kong musical duo that was founded in 1999. The members are Eric Kwok and Jerald Chan. The group was formerly known as "Snowman". Their best known work is "1984" and "A ticket in half" （半張飛）. Swing was disbanded in 2002, but returned in 2009 for the release of the ''Wu Dang'' album. Another album ''Electro'' was released in 2010 . Career In 1997, Chan met Kwok for the first time when the former returned to Hong Kong after graduating from university. In 1999, they formed Snowman under the label ''EEI'', which was owned by EMI. In the same year they released the first album, ''Snowman''. Prudence Liew Mei-Gwan (born 10 December 1964) is a Hong Kong pop singer and actress. A Golden Horse Award winner and platinum selling singer, she has released 16 studio albums and appeared in numerous films. Career From the age of eight, she began appearing in television commercials after high school. In 1986, while working as a film producer, Liew was approached to sing the theme song for a movie. The song, ''Midnight Love'' was on heavy rotation at major Hong Kong radio stations and she was quickly signed as the flagship artist to Current Records. In December 1986, she released her self-titled début album to rave reviews and high sales.
