Cinderella (Shrek)
''Shrek'' is an American media franchise made by DreamWorks Animation, loosely based on William Steig's 1990 picture book ''Shrek!''. It includes four computer-animated films: '' Shrek'' (2001), '' Shrek 2'' (2004), '' Shrek the Third'' (2007), and '' Shrek Forever After'' (2010). A short 4-D film, '' Shrek 4-D'', which originally was a theme park ride, was released in 2003. Two television specials, the Christmas television special ''Shrek the Halls'' (2007) and the Halloween television special '' Scared Shrekless'' (2010), have also been produced. A spin-off film titled '' Puss in Boots'' was released in October 2011, and a 2008 stage musical adaptation played on Broadway for more than a year. William Steig
William Steig (November 14, 1907 – October 3, 2003) was an American cartoonist, illustrator and writer of children's books, best known for the picture book ''Shrek!'', which inspired the film series of the same name, as well as others that included ''Sylvester and the Magic Pebble'', ''Abel's Island'', and '' Doctor De Soto''. He was the U.S. nominee for both of the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Awards, as a children's book illustrator in 1982 and a writer in 1988. Early life Steig was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1907, and grew up in the Bronx. His parents were Polish-Jewish immigrants from Lemberg, Austria-Hungary; both socialists. His father, Joseph Steig, was a house painter, and his mother, Laura Ebel Steig, was a seamstress who encouraged his artistic leanings. Hassle is a location at Örebro Municipality in Örebro County, Sweden. It was the site of the discovery of the Hassle treasure. Hassle Treasure The Hassle treasure (Hassleskatten) was found at Hassle in the parish of Glanshammar during 1936. The artifacts consist of a large bronze cauldron which contained two Bronze Age swords of the Hallstatt type, a pommel of bronze, two bronze buckets with ''ciste a cordoni'', two small hooks of bronze and twelve large circular bronze plates with fittings of iron. All of the items were imported. The cauldron belongs to a special kind of cultic cauldron usually found in Italy and Greece, while the buckets are of a kind found in southern and central Europe. Universal Studios Singapore (abbreviation: USS) is a theme park located within the Resorts World Sentosa at Sentosa, Singapore. It features 28 rides, shows, and attractions in seven themed zones. It is one of the six Universal Studios theme parks around the world. It was a key component of the Genting Singapore's bid for the right to build Singapore's second integrated resort (IR). On 8 December 2006, the Singapore government announced that the consortium had won the bid. Construction of the theme park and the rest of the resort started on 19 April 2007. It is the second Universal Studios theme park in Asia, the other being Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, and the first in Southeast Asia. ''Shrek 4-D'' (also known as ''Shrek 3-D'' for the DVD release and ''The Ghost of Lord Farquaad'' for the Shrek's Thriller Tales DVD release and DreamWorks Spooky Stories Blu-ray release, Netflix and other streaming releases) is a computer-animated 4D film based on the Shrek franchise created by DreamWorks Animation, itself based on the book by William Steig. It also is (and was) a 4D simulator ride attraction with motion-based effects and water sprayers located at various theme parks around the world.
