"Cigarettes Will Kill You" is a song by Australian singer-songwriter Ben Lee from his third studio album, ''Breathing Tornados'' (1998). Produced by Ed Buller, the song became a breakout success for Lee. It was voted number two on the 1998 Triple J Hottest 100 and reached number 46 on the Australian Singles Chart in 1999. The song was featured in the 2002 Australian comedy '' Crackerjack''. It has also been referenced in the Axis of Awesome's song medley " Four Chord Song", a reference to the fact that the chord progression in "Cigarettes Will Kill You" is similar to that of Journey's " Don't Stop Believin'" and Toto's " Africa". Benjamin Michael Lee (born 11 September 1978) is an Australian musician and actor. Lee began his career as a musician at the age of 14 with the Sydney band Noise Addict, but he focused on his solo career when the band broke up in 1995. Grand Royal was the Los Angeles, California-based vanity record label set up in 1992 by rap group Beastie Boys in conjunction with Capitol Records after the group left Def Jam Recordings. ''Grand Royal'' was also the name of a magazine written and published by the group. Described as a publication that "came to define part of Generation X," the total distribution of the six issues of ''Grand Royal'' was estimated at 300,000 copies.
