''Churchill's Leopards'' ( it, I leopardi di Churchill, es, Los Leopardos de Churchill) is a 1970 Italian-Spanish "macaroni combat" war film directed by Maurizio Pradeaux and starring Richard Harrison and Klaus Kinski. Plot A British commando team heads into occupied France to blow up a German held dam in preparation for D-Day, while a British officer infiltrates the German garrison, posing as his recently dead German twin brother, in order to provide help from the inside. Maurizio Pradeaux
Maurizio Pradeaux (16 April 1931 – 1 July 2022) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. He began his career as a production assistant, working with . '' Ramon the Mexican'', a western, which was released in 1967, was his debut as a film director. He wrote the screenplays for all the films he directed. Many fell into the category known in Italian as ''giallo'' ('yellow'), which defines a style of mystery and detective fiction and films. Euro War, also known as Macaroni Combat, Macaroni War, Spaghetti Combat, or Spaghetti War, is a broad subgenre of war film that emerged in the mid-1960s. The films were named ''Euro War'' because most were produced and directed by European co-productions, most notably and commonly by Italians, as indicated by the subgenre's other nicknames that draw parallels to those films within the mostly Italian Spaghetti Western genre. Herb Andress (January 10, 1935, in Bad Goisern – April 8, 2004, in Munich), born Herbert Andreas Greunz, was an Austrian film and television actor, known particularly for his roles in the Rainer Werner Fassbinder film ''Lili Marleen'' (1981) and the same director's TV series ''Eight Hours Don't Make a Day'' (1972).
