Church Of Realities
''Church of Realities'' is the sophomore extended play by American punk rock band Hed PE. Self-distributed in 1995, it was the band's first release. Production DJ Product©1969 drew the EP's cover. Music The music of ''Church of Realities'' establishes the band's trademark style, which primarily fuses elements of punk rock and hip hop. It also includes elements of funk, jazz and metal. The EP's lyrical themes include "race, overcoming life's obstacles ndgovernment abuse", according to the ''OC Weekly''. Release The album was independently produced by the band and distributed without a supporting label in 1995. Legacy Following the EP's release, the band changed its name, adding "PE", which stood for "Planet Earth", and signed with Jive Records, who released their self-titled LP in 1997. Hed PE
Hed PE (also known as (hed) Planet Earth and stylized as (həd) p.e. or as (Hed)pe or (Hed)PE) or (həd) Planetary Evolution, is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California. Formed in 1994, the band is known for its eclectic genre-crossing style, predominately in the fusion of gangsta rap and punk rock it has termed "G-punk", but also for its reggae-fused music. After releasing three albums on Jive Records, Hed PE left the label to record independently. Hed PE was signed with Suburban Noize Records from 2006 until 2010. Since 2014, the band has been signed with Pavement Music. William Frederick Durst (born August 20, 1970) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and director. He is the frontman and lyricist of the nu metal band Limp Bizkit, formed in 1994, with whom he has released seven studio albums. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Wesley Geer
Wesley Harmon Geer Jr. is an American guitarist, best known as a founding member of the band Hed PE, formed in 1994 in Huntington Beach, CA. He also toured with nu metal band Korn. Biography Geer was born in Fullerton, California. He met rapper and singer Jared Gomes, while attending local music shows in Orange County, California during the 1990s. Together they formed the band Hed PE. Hed PE was signed by Jive Records, and toured with bands like Deftones., System of a Down, and Korn. Geer left the band in 2003, to adopt a different lifestyle, and took a job with Fusion Academy & Learning Center to teach music to children in grades 6–12. In 2010, Geer joined Korn. Paulo Sergio "Jared" Gomes, also known as Jahred and M.C.U.D. ("MC Underdog") (born February 29, 1964) is an American singer, musician and social activist, best known as the lead vocalist of the band Hed PE. Biography Gomes was born Paulo Sergio Gomes on February 29, 1964 to a mother of Indigenous Brazilian descent and a father of Afro-Brazilian descent. He got his first start in the music industry as the frontman of the new wave band The Clue, which was active from 1984 until 1990. After that he fronted Live Urban Sexx Tribe from 1991 to 1994.
