Our Lady Of Grace Church (Chorão Island)
Our Lady of Grace Church is a Roman Catholic church in Chorão, Goa, India. It is bounded on its north and west by the Mapusa River, with Salvador do Mundo remaining exactly opposite to it. To the south is the river Mandovi with Ribandar opposite to it and to its east is the St Bartholomew's Church. History The Our Lady of Grace Church was built by Jesuits in 1551. The Church has 3 altars dedicated to Our Lady of Grace (Main Altar), Bom Jesus and Saint Roque. The first diocesan priest to be confirmed as Vicar of Our Lady of Grace Church was Fr. Bernard Coutinho (1598-1648) and retained this position for 50 years. He died on 14 December 1648. There is still epitaph of Grave of Fr. Bernard Coutinho in the Church. Our Lady Of Graces Chapel, Qrendi
The Chapel of Our Lady of Graces ( mt, Tal-Grazzja) is a Roman Catholic chapel located in the area known as ''Tal-Maqluba'' in Qrendi, Malta. History This chapel was built in the year 1658 by Angelo Spiteri from Qrendi and dedicated to Our Lady of Victories. However, later the church was rededicated to Our lady of Graces. Spiteri left funds which were to be used for the singing of vespers and the celebration of Mass on the feast day. The church was restored in 2007. Exterior and Interior The present chapel has a simple facade with no decoration except for three square windows – one on each side of the door and the third one high up above it. On the very top of the church there is a small stone crucifix. The two side windows have a kneeling block for the faithful who wished to pray even when the chapel was closed. The Parish Church and Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces ( mt, Knisja Arċipretali u Santwarju tal-Madonna tal-Grazzja) is a Roman Catholic parish church in Żabbar, Malta, dedicated to Our Lady of Graces. The church was originally built between 1641 and 1696 to designs of the Renaissance architect Tommaso Dingli. Its façade, an outstanding example of Maltese Baroque architecture, was built in 1738 to designs of Giovanni Bonavia. The dome was rebuilt in the early 19th century after it had been damaged during the French blockade of 1798–1800, and it was rebuilt again in the first half of the 20th century to designs of Giuseppe Pace. History A shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Graces existed in Żabbar since at least the 16th century, and it was sacked by the Ottomans during a raid in 1614. Our Lady of Grace Church is a historic Black Catholic church near the junction of Airline Highway and 3rd Street in Reserve, Louisiana. It was built in 1937 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic church in the Sunset Hills neighborhood of Greensboro, North Carolina. The church was erected as a memorial to Ethel Clay Price, a Catholic whose husband donated funds to build the church. The church was designed to resemble Our Lady of Refuge in Brooklyn, New York. The church is also host of Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, serving children from grades pre-k through 8. History Before the 1950s, there was a small Catholic population in Greensboro, so a traveling priest would come and hold Mass at what is now St. Benedict's Church in downtown Greensboro. Our Lady of Grace was conceived of, and funded as, a memorial by Julian Price, a Baptist, to his deceased Catholic wife, Ethel Clay Price. Price first approached Vincent Waters, Bishop of Raleigh with his idea in 1946, which Price wished to model on the Church of Our Lady of Refuge in Brooklyn, New York.
